For those with performance issues. Try this! It worked for me
Interesting. While I too don't understand how this could possibly work, I can test it later on this evening.
Will post later with details. Slinkston's STANDARD Shop! http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/197511

" It doesn't. Placebo effect |

Could perhaps occur if several different versions of video drivers are installed on the PC, and clicking "run 64 bit dxdiag" loads a different version of the drivers than running PoE does - both the 32-bit and 64-bit DLLs. And then these DLLs are preferred afterwards when PoE runs. This fits with the poster's claim that he has to re-click every time he reboots his PC.
A bit far-fetched, but I don't see how else this could work, since dxdiag is just a diagnostics utility. Last edited by ptt_frmr#5341 on Mar 29, 2013, 2:51:53 PM

Tried this and didn't really see any improvement. My guess is there is some placebo effect going on here.

" LOL... I was reading through this post and thought of this as well. We use to do this back in the q2 and q3 days.. and it did increase the system performance for some reason. Strange that it has the same effect 10 years later. I'll have to try this and the DXdiag thing when I get home. |
