NOTE:- Neversink has now updated his loot filter to fix this. For anyone coming across this thread, just update your Neversink lootfilter and this won't be a problem anymore.

First of all, this my own observation as a solo player, if I'm wrong please correct me.
This subreddit is filled with posts about how rippy heists are because of rare mobs camping behind doors and such and rightfully so. There have also been complaints about alert level rising too fast. I think we have been missing out on the follower only gear that deals with these problems because the Neversink filter either hides them (high strictness) or shows them in a very small font (regular versions). See the pic 1 I've attached! Imagine the screen full of loot and tons of rare mobs, you would never see these drops!
There are a lot of follower only items that drop in heists. These items give boosts to you (the player) in the form of a global aura. These boosts give the additional power needed to deal with the tons of rare mobs that spawn while escaping from a heist. I've tried rolling these items and they can roll "increased time before lockdown", "reduced alert level from doing X...", "15% increased crit multi for the player" and so on (see pic 2).
I think if we were to fully equip our team with such gear (each member can use 3 of these), we won't have problems with alert level and rare mobs. Maybe the league mechanic is balanced around having these in high level heists?

Yeah, can confirm.
It's easy to miss them, not to mention that most pieces are just hidden.
Seems like NS gone ahead and balanced filter around League showering us with Rogue gear so 90% is just hidden and what is shown has any barely highlight before League even started or something along these lines. Maybe oversight? So unlikely of him. Ususally his work doesn't need double checking.
Maybe that's why I only have few of them? O_o

That's not the case. Nothing is hidden. They even have map icons.
Then again they are not highlighted enough, if they're low tier, non rare items.
these gear pieces are pretty rare. Were talking about maybe 1 gear piece per 3 runs
that highlight will be changed in the update tomorrow. For now you can adjust that on Filterblade
the equipment helps and there's some nice stats on them, but it's mostly about reducing alarms and prices. These want have a significant impact upon your survival or damage.
The reason why I decided to give the non rare non high tier follower item such a small font size is because I expected them to drop like candy.
With 9 rogues, 4 tiers and 4 slots and 3 rarities, I didn't expect these to be rare at all and was afraid of flooding players with these.
Credit same thread as above.

That's been posted since after I made this post. That said, it's because I suspected as much that I changed the title of this post from what the OP of that thread had. Anyway, as he himself admits, they aren't being highlighted much. And while yes, their impact will probably not be major, it's still of some help to use them. And since it turns out they're not actually too common, highlighting even normal (white) ones becomes more important since we can simply craft them into good rares rather than waiting for a good rare to drop.

Would this explain why I never saw ones that rogues with level 1 or 2 skills can actually use?

It does not explain why you only 'found' 1 or however many,
They are being shown, they are formatted poorly based on how rare they seem to be (as stated by Neversink he thought they would be more common which is why they are sized this way).
Calm down people.

I just looked at the site and it appears to not hide them using strict/semi-strict if they are blue.
I know i played on Saturday and a white broche dropped, but did not show up on Semi-Strict as 'GOOD'. I only picked it up because it had a name I had never seen before.
