Set level cap to 120.
The game is loosing the idea of fighting for improving and expanding the skill tree.
Currently it's gone like "items is all you need", but it isnt. It's the skill which is making the in the RPG's important. The greatness of PoE is in the skill tree. The cluster skill gems WERE a nice fix, before they got nerfed beyoung point of usenes. I am suggesting to set level cap to 120, involve a new town after reaching lvl 95, and meet epic monsters there, and exp level curve then become a bit easier to lvl 110 let say. Aside of this importance of the cluster gems will rise much more. It is a large fix, but it is worthy I very believe, because it will not only return the fun and the point of the game, but will bring abnormous joy fixing the old classes. I am calling the whole idea "League Revelations". ( more will come if I got support from the peoples :) ). LET'S MAKE PoE GREAT AGAIN ! I suggested this a while back as well. It literally reminds me of the same issue that Runescape had with their Level Cap of 99 for all skills and after enough players complained, Jagex made the level cap for all skills 120. Which I honestly prefer to be honest. Like, sure you could say that the number of either 100 or 120 really does not matter and you could just attribute the exp gained being big enough to where lvl 100 means something special, but I think maybe psychologically something about 120 feels like you achieved more than just 100. Not sure how to explain it more than this, but I think there is something more to this subconsciously that people don't fully realize.

If anything, they should detach cluster jewels from the normal skill tree and give 1 cluster skill point per X levels.
This would need quite a bit of balancing tho... |

Personally i am not against "infinite" levels system. But i think that we should have even less skill points than we have now, not more.
A build is only a build if it has meaningful choices behind it, if you can always get everything (we are already close to it), you will be just raising numbers more and more, which is boring in my opinion. On the other hand allowing players to keep leveling forever (ever requiring more exp in an exponential way), and making so levels past 100 only increase your base hp/mana would be fine. Overall i still liked more the old times, where strong items, supports and passives had a downside tied to it, it made things a lot spicier, and was easier to prevent blatant powercreep, than just adding more and more and more and more. But that's just my personal opinion in the matter. |

1. "Balancing" PoE is the worst thing which can ever happen.
Every game ever which went "balanced" failed. 2. Level cap 120 is just a step. I am suggesting increasing the cap level every year with 10 levels + new town. 3. Honestly - I am do not care if someone dislike the idea. I've been quite around, and managed quite a lot of MMO's to clearly say that without cap rise - the game is flat, and looking at the user charts - the things getting quite worse image. If you really think GGG will undertake such a huge overhaul with PoE2 just around the corner, the joke's on you.
Apart from that, I also don't think we need more skillpoints, we just need a better balancing between skilltree and items... |

" a lot of us liked to be able to fucking STOMP the game in a tabula. I miss those days so fucking much you wouldn't believe it. The game became straight trash at 3.9 -- a grind of painful proportions. a 5ex budget made you able to 1 shot everything in the game... Now it takes about 20ex for an okay amulet. If I had one wish it would be for everything to revert. Every single nerf undone, all crafting nerfs reversed. Back when my friends could manage to play, and gearing was 100% optional and for fun. When meme builds didn't NEED 200-500ex to be mediocre. |
