Yep getting 16 gb ram to be able to run 6 accounts NEEDS REALLY MUCH SKILL :D

Sorry to say this but you get 250% quantity for nothing. Its really FAIR vs less pc equipped(skilled) players :)))

Happy to see this game becomes more and more disbalanced xD

Multiboxing is not the same thing as multilogging. Multiboxing takes more involvement then a computer from the last 5 years.

If it's not against the rules then it can't be cheating. If GGG allows it then how is it cheating? Awful lot of poor logic in this thread.

Yup... Its the simple inability to understand this that 48 pages of people fail to comprehend.

Clearly youve never played d2. I can open as many screens as I want at any time. Also even if you added this in, it is defeated by every boxxing prog out there.

Depends if you were on LAN or ONLINE. Battle.net limited D2 to 4 simultaneous connections / IP. This covers the case where a family wants to play together or since Blizzard also stated that self-muling was acceptable it allows for the case where the lone gamer can additionally log in with 3 mules (and effectively have unlimited stash size.)

How many simultaneous IP connections does PoE's Terms of Use grant to users?

If the ToU does not say how many are allowed, why not?

Edit: fixed 'log in' typo.

As stated before, the official GGG stance is:

You are allowed to "multibox" if, and only if, you are manually controlling each character that you have logged in. If you're taking the time to go from mouse to mouse and keyboard to keyboard to control your characters, that's fine. That takes quite a bit of effort and does not give you an unfair advantage since you're putting in the effort. But as soon as you proxy or automate your commands, then you're doing something that GGG does not condone.

From an interview Chris did (transcribed by SpudOfDoom on the forums)

"
Our current stance on multiboxing is that you're welcome to run multiple clients on the same machine, but you should be playing each one; and if you're using tools to proxy your input between them and stuff like that, then that's an unfair advantage. So if it's exactly the same as walking between 6 computers and you move the mouse on each one and control the characters, that's no problem at all. But as soon as you're running cheaty programs to make it so you're effectively running one guy with the power of 6, then that's a problem.
And what we say is do you really think multiboxers will go threw the trouble of individual clicks and taps on each character on each client? more than likely not. its not efficient, but there is the people who will use that and the bots to overcome that and THEY are ruining the game.

Edit: im amazed at almost 50 pages and not a single GGG responce. get a backbone GGG and answer everyones questions. we want answers.

Look up 1 post...that is GGG's stance on boxxing. Boxxing and botting are completely different things btw, and considering they have 0 ways to stop it, dont be expecting some official post changing their position.
Your dog likes to wag his tail, not his toothbrush, right? But just like in humans, plaque and bacteria develop in your dog's mouth. If it's not brushed or scraped away, plaque can turn to tartar within 36 hours. Tartar buildup can lead to painful, inflamed gums, and open the door to infection and periodontal disease.

For whatever reason, it looks like you two are talking past each other to me.

But to highlight the basic position:

Multiboxing where you send commands without your direct input (meaning every single character is controlled separately) is allowed. If, however, you're controlling several characters at once with 1 click or use of a button, or if you're botting, that's something that GGG is against.

To them, both automating (botting) and certain types of multiboxing (as said, one where you don't personally control each and every character individually) are disallowed. Even if they are "completely different", they overlap in not being allowed if they give an individual an unfair advantage. (I'm of the camp that, most likely, people who are multiboxing are most likely using automated scripts or proxying commands so that those would fall under what GGG is against. Of course, if there really are people out there who are multiboxing and taking the trouble to control each individual character separately, then they should be left alone, but I'm supposing those who do so are in the minority.)
Multiboxing is so good for this game.

Can't wait when I can sell my exalts for 50-60 chaos

Go you chaos farmers go!!
The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG
