Steelskin + Cast when damage taken Support
CWDT and other support gem triggers do not have their own cooldown, they give the cooldown to supported triggered active skills. If the skill has its own cooldown too, the longer one takes effect. when the cooldown ends, cwdt starts tracking damage again
if cwdt supports multiple skills, it will track damage and trigger for each skill individually IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator on Aug 27, 2020, 2:23:42 PM

" I am not sure if you are replying to me or not, but what I was asking was whether there was substantiated info that the gems stopped tracking damage during their cooldown. I am aware of all other mechanics regarding CwDT. |

Wow, all of these things are too advanced for me.
Maybe it's triggering and I just can't tell. But It's not appearing on the top of the screen buff line. Is it normal? | |
" Im sorry, after re-reading the thread I must admit that I was seeing there questions I expected rather than the reality (perhaps some deformation after so many years reading and answering this forum :)) Well I cant link you any official GGG statement but it would not make sense if it would track it during cd.. it would mean that the skills would be able to proc right after going from cooldown when, for example, there would be no mobs around at all.. etc OP: your setup is supposed to work but the damage it absorbs is relatively low so the duration can be very short.. It should show on the buff bar though.. maybe try recording a video.. placing a skill in your skill bar would also help seeing if it procs as you should be able to see the cooldown going IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator on Aug 27, 2020, 3:26:42 PM

"I have tested it myself also, just to be sure, quite some time ago when I was up to some multiple CWDT shenanigans. I simply linked to the CWDT entry as a reference point. It's probably not thoroughly documented because there's nothing to really document. It behaves in a very logical way, since each supported gem has its own damage counter rather than the damage counter being applied to CWDT itself. The Steelskin cooldown (or any other skill CWDT-linked skill on cooldown) acts as a proxy for or an extension of the baked-in CWDT cooldown limitations. The skill is on cooldown and thus disabled from use, suspending the damage counter along with it. It is quite easy to test it yourself if you you really want or need confirmation. We've kinda hijacked this thread from the OP though, so I'll be moving on from this... :P I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.
