[3.12] Hasunic's ED/C CI Trickster | Glancing Blows | Leaguestarter | Ailment Immunity | 1H + Shield

I had my first ever stab at Uber Atziri with this build. _Almost_ deathless -- she got me with an explosion after she died and I let my guard down.

I am not a good player, so this is a testament to how good this build is. Thanks, Hasunic!

Edit: I've been tinkering with the belt slot. I think that non-influenced Crystal belts may be competitive with Bated Breath. I just crafted this without too much work:

+80 to maximum Energy Shield (implicit)

+51 to maximum Energy Shield
+67 to maximum Life
+42% to Fire Resistance
+44% to Cold Resistance
+215 to Evasion Rating (crafted)
+25 to maximum Energy Shield (crafted)

Extra 150 or so ES on the char. I did lose the 50% ES recharge rate, but the extra resistances really help.

Hello Hasunic! Thanks for the guide! I might run with this next Heist League.
I decided to go SSF softcore.
You think it could be viable for SSF softcore without harvest crafting? What will be the problems we will have to face? Is there a better guide for ED/contagion SSF without harvest?

thanks for helping.
It might be difficult to get the bases on SSF for the real super OP items, and also... Like crafting a shaper titanium shield/whatever with dense fossils and hitting 2 x T1-T3 ES + ES on block takes about 115 dense fossils.

I think it's hard to go from it being a good leaguestarter to the endgame grinder where you don't fear anything at all on ssf.

I am playing trade myself next league. I've had enough ssf for now, but if the patch notes does not ruin everything, I will leaguestart ED/C.

Damn, that doesn't sound good. I was hopeing to play SSF ED/contagion next league. But all the guides are so pimped and OP in specific items that it scares me to play it.
It's still in a good spot and ssf is always a grind :)

When i compare most guides. Before going CI, they call it the "life build"

its either
1 ) Glancing blows
or
2 ) Phase acrobatics + winddancer
or
3) Mind over mater + Eldritch battery.

Your opinion about this. And what to use in which case - can't realy seem to distinguish why they use 1 or 2 or 3.
I would go for GB myself. Theirs plentu of decent ssf ci gear that you can get and just slowly upgrade :)

Let's see the patch notes. They might brick gb

4-link ED worked really well. I lost maybe 10% ED DPS and 500ES and in return approx. doubled the blight dps output. Makes a huge difference in play.

Next I'm going to experiment with LL to see what it plays like.
Spellslinger

Triggering spells with Spellslinger was faster and more convenient than other methods of casting spells while leveling. It now has a longer cooldown but gains more cooldown recovery as it levels making it more rewarding to reach higher gem levels. The skill now starts with a reservation override of 30%, scaling down to 25% at gem level 20.

----------------------------------

I did the math. The issue is that Spellslinger now reserves at least 30% of mana, so having 3 of them with no support reserves 90% of mana. Adding ONE support (void manipulation) ANYWHERE gives you a 96% reservation.

We can do Essence Drain and Contagion with full supports but we can't add Soulrend also and have more than 1 support.

----------------------------------

So the solution appears to be manually casting fully-supported Soulrend as well as Frenzy. So 2 buttons rather than one. Agreed?

Lost some defense as well with Glancing Blows nerf.
