WTF ... i really like crafting my own items instead of trading forever to randoms for my items ... guess ill be playing softcore and quit investing time into seasons that you will not put into core
already have a bunch of old watch stones from like 4/5 yrs ago in softcore hoping you would have made it core really enjoyed that season also was nice that you started to adjust the garden only half way thru the season and never fixed all the issues with it like not being able to auto plant t2+ ... tried earlier and it picked the t1s over the t2s in my inventory Last edited by gtoilet on Aug 18, 2020, 5:56:11 PM

u could call harvest also "diablo 3" season.
idk why people beg for harvest becoming core if they dont like what poe is about then dont play it o,O i get it all the people dont want to fall back to their true state in poe where they barly can clear yellow maps finally u can do content u are not supposed to do yet usually. Poe isnt about just getting perfect items with just doing some maps. Harvest destroys the most typical ways of crafting. who the fuck plays poe if he doesnt LOVE the rng? harvest made the whole woooow effect if u look at a good crafted rare item vanish. like every player basicly could craft a mirror tier item without spending alot on it. wait guys why dont we get rid of rare items and only use uniques like in diablo 3?? so we dont need harvest crafting for those anymore that cant do the content without it or cant flex with good items without it? u guys thought the balance is made based on that everyone has perfect items? a bread could figure out harvest going core would destroy what poe is about i believe in ggg. just reading many stuff here made me lost faih in a part of the playerbase XD | |

i have to say that i am dissapointed, that you do not include targeted crafting in to the core game. This was the first season where you enabled me, not just to dream about gear i would like to have but even to craft it myself instead of buying it for an insane amount of currency i dont even have. This season you provided me with freedom to play my own build instead of following someone else's like a sheep, i spend countless hours crafting, getting inspiration of what is even possible and adjusting my build. It was a tremendous amount of fun. To emphasis it, this season you intreduced to me cocain, at the start i didnt even know how to properly handling it but as the season progressed i got hooked. Now you are tlling me you are cutting me of cocain and give me back the original cake Poe used to be. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with a nice cake but in comparison it looses to coks. So unless, you spice the Poe content with at least a decent amount of cocain i guess i will take a break because i wouldnt be sastified with your content as i was this season. | |

All I see right now is Hardcore folks whining about players who liked harves and casual peeps who are annoyed because the upcoming change will take one of their mightiest tools.
In this community I am also only a casual and liked harvest but please consider that Harvest as it is right now, is UTTERLY BROKEN. Please, let me explain. The DPS numbers we've seen this league were BS levels of high, compare the best weapons in standard with the best crafted weapons of this league. If Harvest in its current state would go core, GGG would absolutely have to readjust the power of the games library of enemies and bosses to allow actual challenges and keep endgame bosses as endgame without letting them turn into pathetic pushovers. GGG could also try to combat the rise of DPS averages by nerfing everything into the ground... which is likely not what you want... (because noone does) Harvestcrafting asbolutely removes any need for all the other crafting methods, which is not as good as it sounds. Determined crafting should IMO be able to bring some great rewards but not easily allow everyone to destroy all challenges the game has to offer. If the Harvest crafting mechanics would be reworked in a way that allows the player to direct their crafting efforts more effectively while still having to invest currency (Something like "Add an exalt to guarantee a top roll" or "Add a mirror to break the modifiers limits") There could be at least some kind of compromise between No-life Hardcore and people like me to which the old way of crafting just not viable at all. Allow good but NOT OVERKILL gear to be crafted with some level of efficiency. As I said before, I am a casual but game destroying gear should never be a gift in my opinion and more like a challenge to crack. A less broken version of determined crafting would be absolutely awesome to see, since in would even allow someone like me, who has barely any free time on his hands, to get started in crafting and create a starting point more easily. A compromise would likely bet better than any of the constant bickering that we can see here at the moment. " I mostly agree with what you said. Harvestcrafting makes normal chaos-exalt crafting obsolete. However, those were never really an option for a casual like me. When considering what i could roll on an item, upgrading it with an ex, compared to what I can buy with said ex, it's never worth to risk crafting. That's where harvestcrafting excels, making crafting accessible and a reasonable option. I agree, it's broken if allowed to craft mirror-tier stuff, as it does in the leauge, but I think it's easily adjustable, just like bench-crafting, which is a decent option, but can never be the best option. I think harvest could be nerfed down to that level, not ruining the challange for high-end players and items, and not taking away crafting from casual players, who rarely aim for best in slot gear, just want to be able to craft some decent stuff for themselves. How about this:
Just enable deterministic crafting in standard. Good players and those who like a challenge will play the leagues anyways so it won't affect them. Bad players, noobs and those who want to upgrade their gear over time as they see fit and gradually grow with it could just do so in standard then. |
