Will Harvest Become Core Path of Exile Content?
" What do you mean? You didn´t even played enough in SSF this league to take a big advantage anyways from the mechanic. Next league SSF will feel great again because not everyone walks with 6 tier 1 mods items and we are getting the SSF feeling back. | |
I really don't like mechanics of this new league and also i don't like the old crafting mechanics because its too much rng and luck.
BUT this is the first season where i could achive EVERY endgame contents. So my opinion is havest should go core in the current state? no Should harvest become core later? definitely and also "old" crafting should have been reworked too. Thanks | |
" Yeah, but you'll be back to playing the same 2-3 different build types that are viable in a game where you basically can't get gear that you need because it doesn't exist. | |
Well, let's make the crafting system shitty again. Go to trade instead... oh, wait, that system is another pile of turd. T_T
--- Seriosly, Harvest crafting is not a problem. The problem is that the core mechanic is not working at all without trading. You need a specific unique item? Go to trade. You need an item with several low-weighten affixes, especially not tagged ones? Go to trade, set up filters for live serach and pray that somebody will sell it as well as he will be online same time with you and finally he will reply to you. Path of Trading, exile. Path of Worst QOL Trading ever. This league was great because I could skip trading at all. Just play the game, not the trading site. You're scared that Harvest crafting will broke your 'economy'? Well, learn from other games: some crafts are character/player-bound, you can't trade or somehow transfer them to someone (or can but clean them from this cpecific crafting before). That's all. There's no problem really. | |
" I'm more surprised that they think a game where most people past the casual step spend more time managing trading tabs then playing their game is a functional economy. Last edited by EpsiIon on Aug 13, 2020, 2:26:43 AM

" If we don´t have to play gardener and need to build complex, completely unnecessary infrastructures, then i would gave harvest a second chance. Sounds fine to me finding there and here some seeds and insta using them in the garden without building anything. | |
What is a possibility is to give everyone a pre set garden of GGG's choosing, which you cant interact with other than planting and harvesting seeds, and horticraft stations.
That way GGG can throttle the uber garden people which will limit the amount of crafts going into the system. Like 1 set of t1 patch of each color, 1 set of t2's and 1 set of t3's and 4's. It will throttle the availability on the high end crafts and also reduce the amount of augs/rem adds/removes as you can only harvest so much at a time. Everything will still be available but not as plentiful as now, and people who hated setting up the garden dont need to do that as there will be a pre set garden for you. | |
In my own perfect world, GGG would have implemented a version of harvest crafting with seeds dropping from Bosses/Uniques during leveling and maps, but with harvest crafts being only available on non-influenced items. Plus obviously some finetuning of some crafts.
But as I can see that this would take a lot of time (which is a scarce resource in the development cycle), GGG's approach is imo the second best solution. Hyped to see which implementation they will come up with later down the line :) Let tomorrow be about solutions. Today is about vengeance.

Would it be a big deal to let me use at least hortification stations crafts I harvested on Standard? No garden, I would place them in hideout and would be able to use those crafts or it would still contribute to that DB issue?
Thanks. | |
