Will Harvest Become Core Path of Exile Content?

In my opinion you should mantain the deterministic crafting mechanic in the main game, as one of the main possibilities for crafting. Crafting could be reworked in order to be somehow "Harvest-like". It could be like an add-on to the Crafting Bench. For example you could obtain some specific Harvest crafts while running maps, killing bosses, etc. Those would drop as seeds, that can still be traded. You can just scrap the whole Garden, even if I'm sure some people enjoyed it.

I think that for Path of Exile it would be very nice to have deterministic crafting not as side-content, but as main part of the game.
Make it way harder to create perfect items by manipulating the odds of the single exalted outcome for the highest level mods.

That's my personal idea.

+1

NO more garden plz!!!
find another way to implement the crafting. and remember that only 5% player base gets the best shit in game, so when you make things harder to get, it will be allmost imposible for 3 hours a day players to get good gear.

and for god sake! KILL BOTS allready.

GOOOD CHOICE!!!
Totally agreed, first it has to be checked when and in which content it will be reintroduced. Should not be in the core game like that.
And I think GGG has the stats to support their decision.

Why just dont remove Migrate from SSF and make Harvest in SSF only... that will alive SSF and will not broke your "imaginable" economy in long term.

because that code needs to be maintained for all eternity which is a waste of resources.
This was an experimental league all along, it didn't work and you made the right decision. If it somehow goes core in the future, please don't bring back the garden. Nobody I know of wants to play farmville in this game.

GGG also has the stats to support the fact that evasion and ranger have been completely worthless for the majority of the games history due to a disinterest in fixing it (Not inability, they have the ability).

Selectively trying to say that GGG has these magical statistics that justify their every choice as infallible is laughable. Harvest did nothing to adjust the status quo. Rich and hardcore players are still just as far ahead of casuals as before. They don't want Harvest to go core, in my opinion, because it plainly and evidently showcases just how badly balanced the game is.

When you have a Necro with gear they found at level 82 killing A8 Sirus deathless in a Tabula with ilvl 20 shit still equipped, while most Deadeyes with literal mirror tier gear are unable to kill him reliably inside 6 portals, you lose any plausible deniability you had as developers.

Even though i didnt like the garden the game finally became a game where i could actually grind for my own gear. Cause it's still a huge grind and rng fest to actually find the right seeds, wait 3 maps and then hope you farm the right mod and then hit the right mod on gear. So nowhere near deterministic yet.

Next few leagues are now going to be a ''pick up something and hope for some good mods on it, discard everything else, trade if you are rich and depressed/wanna be depressed and forget about ever getting a good item yourself''.

Just make it an ssf mod and disable transferring to standard for characters with the mod untill you find some way to implement it like you want. Don't ''we'll bring it back in the future in some way, probably, no promises, no deadline, k, bye.''.
At the time I am putting this idea forth, there are already 37 pages of comments on this news topic, so there is a chance this has already been suggested, and there is also a good chance this idea won't actually be read by GGG.

However, I have the perfect solution for adding Harvest crafting to core Path of Exile that will keep what the developers want without inflating the endgame economy.

Instead of making Harvest crafting something that can be repeated as much as players want, like Delve, Incursion, etc., make Harvest crafting a fixed occurrence throughout the story, more like Labyrinth Ascendancy content. Add fixed access points to the Sacred Grove sprinkled into the story, remove the need to plant seeds, and just have players find crops there, ready to harvest into reward crafting.

Once a player has completed the Kitava story campaign and defeated the Conquerors of the Atlas for the first time, that character should have already found all the access points for the Sacred Grove and will no longer have any more Harvest Crafting available to them.
"Too easy"

I strongly disagree. League I enjoyed the most, still playing, and I started getting good, or cool stuff probably after 3 weeks.

In other leagues after one week I already saw mirror tier weapons and armors for trade or mirror service, without harvest. With the player base PoE has people will always get something like this, but without harved, same few people will still crush the market.

Garden was something that did scare people away, who stayed and figured it out loved the league.

There is a reddit post saying somthing like "we should keep harvest and get rid of the old 'glorified gamble' system that was crafting before" and I really agree with that.

IMHO people who didn't like this league is divided in 2 types:
1-people who couldn't handle the "game grind" and also the "knowledge" grind to make a nice garden,
2-people who get mirror tier gear after one week anyway and couldn't sell "junk" from failed crafts anymore, because everyone can craft now.

Please don't come with "harvest is too powerfull". People always get good gear and Harvest just spread that. Now isn't only 1% of the players that have good gear, anyone that spend some time playing can also get something good without spending a league of savings for 1 item.

Really. I'm serious when I talk about a league of savings for one item is my experience in PoE untill now. I don't want to go back to this. My current gear is good, nothing mirror tier or like that and I crafted a lot. But in other leagues I wouldn't be able to have 2 pieces of what I have now. That was boring, I only keep playing because I can play the game without beign overwhelmed by gear checks.

Basically before you could save 10 ex and get something good, gamble it all to MAYBE get something a little bit better, or more likely lose it all. Mostly players don't get to play builds that worth 6 mirrors. Before Harverst if you want to craft something good you should be ready to bet 100-200 exalts.

I currently have about 300h in harvest. Never payed more than 4ex on something and crafted most of my gear. My bank is 67 exalts right now. 300h+ to have probably HALF of what you need to craft ONE good item. Please don't make us come back to that.
I love harvest league, sure it needs some improvement, but still is very interesting and powerful mechanic. Please make it core!!!
