TencentGGG need to comprehend that trading and crafting should not be outright better than dropping the loot by killing monsters.
As such, crafting via Harvest or even normal crafting should NOT BE ALLOWED to provide easy access to perfect items, heck, it would be better to make T0 and T1 affixes DROP ONLY, and also they need to adjust influenced exalts, as in remove/add influence, and the lucky divine to a higher rarity, while still keeping remove/add regular affix closer to current values, but limited to T2 mods AT MOST. Trading should also be made more "viable", PoE needs asynchronous trading because it's a damn global game and we don't all enjoy the same time zone, but to give items "more weight", they should make them have a longer cooldown when introduced on the market WITHOUT FURTHER INTERVENTION (for example, you drop a decent item, you craft it then sell it instantly, but if the next user doesn't modify it by further crafting and "improving" the item, he enjoys a DELAY meant to prevent easy flipping that makes item feel like @%$&), which combined with a proper readjustment of the abundance of drops, will make bases and rares VALUABLE. Until then, I'm sorry to say, the competition aka Last Epoch, already has a better crafting system LIGHTYEARS BETTER than the fiasco that PoE still relies on... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

As for the crafting OP high level items argument? Sure; if you zoomzoom 10 maps in under 15 minutes and know excactly what you are doing; not really if you are a slow and old casual like myself. Might still make a return you say so there is hope, but only if it'll not be gutted into the ground. Agree that it needs some tweaks here and there tho. Disappointed ... | |

well it's understandable and i have no problem with their decision. I hope a lot of ppl that enjoyed Harvest dont complain too much because i don't want GGG to shy away from experimenting like this again and give us very fun leagues that we know wont go core but that we can enjoy and have fun with over powered mechanics. Diablos biggest failure was their leagues, change one small thing and go then next league change one small thing and that's good enough then next league so on and so forth. So overall i liked what they did and i hope GGG continues to think BIG with their next leagues as well and let us have fun with crazy over the top mechanics or changes! :)

I don't care to farm and cultivate more seeds. I wanted to know if standard players will have "access" to the Grove to use OLD bench crafts. I doubt we will but I thought i'd ask. I hated this league, more than any other except synthesis...follow build guides and viola.. no way I can afford to get decent gear to get to red maps. I tried the build of the month...geez i hate casters more than I remembered, so much going on on the screen you cant see anything, went back to my favorite build, but again, needed to do some serious respec and no way to afford it, started another build... and another.... and another... I can get to maps fast, but none that I tried got into red maps.... A tectonic slam Juggernaut.. with 150 deaths before red maps... using an ONI....
Glad this is NOT going core, now if you would just make a league that doesnt favor ONE build, ONE class, ONE playstyle.... well I can dream. | |
How utterly disapointing.
Harvest and deterministic crafting actually made crafting as a whole somewhat acessible to me. I love it but knowing that it will disappear for a while is to me not much more than a reason to stop getting used to it, so I do not miss it during the next league when crafting specific equipment again becomes too expensive for me. It's not that I do not like to grind tons of enemies but as my real life becomes more and more time consuming I simply am not able to get the most out of the game. | |
I'm not gonna lie, i am a bit saddened that deterministic crafting like this wont stay in the game in some form.
This is the first league ever and probably the only league i will play from start to finish. I already dread playing without harvest and go back to the same old pattern where i sell everything to buy items instead of USING most of what i get to craft items for myself. Guess its good for me though with shadowlands probably coming out during the next league, so im not conflicted in what i want to play. | |
Looking at the profiles of everyone saying crafting needs to be nerfed and the vast majority aren't wearing a single awakened or Harvest crafted item...hell not even fossil crafted items.
Those rare items you pick up on the ground were always garbage. That's a different problem than crafting being too awesome that it devalues your 3 mod rare. Now we're going to be stuck in a perpetual state of power creep because everything is going to feel worthless compared to Harvest if they don't creep it. |
