Will Harvest Become Core Path of Exile Content?
Glad to hear it will come back later on. The current mechanic doesn't go all the well into core. I just hope you guys don't take years to do this.. crafting has been garbage in this game without the harvest.
It's kind of what I thought would happen. |

" I'd be curious to know how it baffles you when most builds available to most people leaned heavily on abusing a handful of niche interactions to create a viable platform for only those specific builds to exist. Harvest was about build and item diversity. Obviously the harder they leaned into the RNG crafting and power creep, the smaller the pool of diversity got to the point where the last few leagues have been about 50% ES based builds (Or more). They probably wanted to see what would happen if they allowed people to craft the items they needed to support their builds, when most items are impossible to get through normal gameplay, thus said builds needing those items are impossible to get outside harvest.
I am glad.
By no means am I a hardcore top tier player, but the item market was completely messed up this league. Everything was far too accessible and only the best of the best items could actually be moved. Some of the deterministic crafting would be nice to have available through other means as a major reward, but this league just had way too much.
" I'd be curious to see if a deterministic crafting system tied to an "Exclusive" tag would be better. You can customize and craft effective gear for yourself, but it would carry no economic value as it couldn't be traded (I believe they call it soulbound in some MMOs? or some such?). They cite specifically issues with the in-game economy, and this adds a very effective sink while still allowing for an effective market, while reducing the ever-present cyclical nature of RNG crafting. " Exactly.... All I kept saying was - finally, I hope this makes it into the core game. It made crafting something worth doing. I will not care anymore now. I have spent too much-getting game currency to buy gear, when for the first time I was able to get gear that was good enough - not perfect - but good enough to get through the game! They say, It will break the economy. That sh&t is already broken! I will not play new league anymore, because if it does not make it into the core game then it is a waste! ButtCommander - you said it well!
"When we designed Harvest, we wanted to experiment with a more deterministic crafting system that would enable players to access powerful items earlier in their character progression."
maybe explaine how to randomise(or "craft" as the dev put it) like what are suffixs? what are the restriction to suffixs and why. what are prefixes? what are the restriction to suffixs and why. and the rest. so this side ways experment might give you a little more data if people had a clue on how to randomlise(or "craft") "remove a lighting affect and replace it with a lighting affect" ??? what will i get out of this, whats the chances of getting it? more spficly what the chances of getting those on this item? some basic question people will have, or just wont bother more then half the time. MAKE LEFT CLICK GREAT AGAIN.

Of course it wouldn't go core. You give the commoners access to high class goods and the high class will only feel like they have lost something. That must not happen, the very vocal elite would not have it.
A slap in the face of the more casual player really. Very disappointed at this announcement.
" I appreciate your input. That's a bit sad to hear. Welp, I guess we'll just have to see what the Devs say. |
|
" They literally just said it won't be going to standard. |

GGG Why fight progress?
