Quick question - will this build be viable with decent investment, considering nerfed harvest crafting in the next league?
I am already looking forward to a fun "melee" build, but I am worried the currency investment would be too high without the current, juicy harvest.

Yes, in heist league I reached 205M max damage with ~70ex investment, despite the fact that during Heist league there's no way to acquire double t1 fracture weapon.

Going forward, Harvest can still be very powerful, especially we can still get double t1 fractured weapon from harvest. So I can easily see ~250M max damage with similar budget.

Jenno, seeing the latest video i notice how you Phase run before the slam and, unless i'm wrong, that way you won't use the damage buff since the 2nd Buff's duration is only 0.2s while your attack time is 0.71s on your minmaxed POB, and the problem here is that the slam counts as an attack from the start of the animation rather than at the end of it.

It's near impossible to get less than 0.2 slam time and even if you get alternate qual + alternate inc. duration you can only reach about 0.4s duration on the secondary buff.

But here's the good news : The damage increase of Phase Run is present in both the secondary buff AND the first one according to the wiki https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Phase_Run and it also can be easily tested in hideout.

So since the attack counts at the start you can just use flasks and other buffs > Slam then instantly cast Phase Run, this way the first buff activates mid slam animation, doesn't get consumed therefore still lets you profit from the full damage increase.

Thanks a lot for noticing this! I have not thought of the second duration of phase run before.

My original thought is: if you have phase run secondary buff when you initiate the attack action, then your attack damage will be buffed. And of course this is just my original thought and I might be wrong.

I have not found any confirmation about whether damage buff is calculated after the action or when you initiate the action. If you have any good source could you share with me?

And of course, if the damage is indeed applied at the end of slam, a safer and much better way of using phase run is to do what you suggested. Phase run won't be consumed this way, so we can have the movement speed buff and are less likely to be targeted after the slam.

Thanks for the interesting idea! I actually ran some numbers in my minmaxed POB, and here they are:

Current POB (with Divine Flesh):
physical EHP: 165k
elemental EHP: 143k
chaos EHP: 83k

Using Transcendence:
physical EHP: 34.5k
elemental EHP: 232k
chaos EHP: 67k

using Transcendence can almost double our elemental EHP for sure. The only problem is our physical EHP is only around 1/5 of before and our chaos EHP is lower too. So Divine flesh still seems like a more balanced option to me overall.

Hi!

I just wanted to say thank you very much for the guide! I've been enjoying my TS Chieftain very much though using all five flasks at once along with the cry setups is taking a bit of a while to get used to. So is not having any life flask.

I was just wondering though if this build can be applied to an Inquisitor. I've been thinking about this one ever since I saw your build since I really wanted to make a slam build work with a Templar class and your build is heavy on the Templar side of the tree especially the mid game budget build and beyond. Maybe get Avatar of Fire to 100% convert physical to fire.

Yeah, I think templar might be good too, though I haven't experimented that myself. Feel free to give it a try on POB

Hey all,

Been playing this build for a bit and I'm having a blast! Credit to the creator. The only issue I've been running into is I'm getting one shot a lot.

How to get more tanky? Also, what items should I focus on getting next?

Here's my build: https://pastebin.com/GtCBiEa6

I'm somewhere between Budget and Early endgame in terms of investment, and have another 35ex to throw at this right now.

I know bottled faith is on the list, and probably a better helm enchant, but what else? Any gear I should swap for something similar?

Thanks!

In Q&A you will see the upgrade order for both mid-budget and early end-game.

I looked at your gear, you should upgrade bottled faith first. No need to focus on helmet enchant until min-maxed gear.

Really enjoying this build and the crafting aspect of it as well.

Not many build guides include the step by step crafting guide, and I sincerely appreciate the time you put into this guide.

It's my first league on POE and as I'm scrapping currency/ learning crafting along the way, it's been a blast with the slam melting maps.

Thank you, bro!
Greetings just made the staff

can some1 please explain how should I proceed with the upgrades such as crit or att speed? my knowledge of crafting is relatively low
thank you
