Not a bad mechanic, but the league sucks. This should never have been the league, just part of it.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

The issue I commonly observe is the interpretation of what the league actually is.
To my mind the league is the farming part, planting seeds, setting up the pylons and every now and then killing a flash mob of critters. The enhanced crafting is a separate element altogether although it has a connection to the farming part, it's not the league itself. To date I've seen very few people actually taking issue with the crafting element. Sure, there are some legitimate complaints about GGG's continuing obsession of withholding information that results in some confusion, or confusing and poor labelling, but overall most people seem to be OK with this. The league mechanic however, for the majority of people is just not enjoyable. For me personally I'm also tired of GGG continually screwing over my game play each league. The most fun I ever had was when the game content was actually accessible to me. I enjoyed logging in and playing and that's when I was most inclined to pay GGG for their efforts. |

I understand that the garden aspect itself pushed away a lot of people. But this league isn't trash, the crafting is amazing. I can make some really crazy non-meta builds and experiment more than I could before deterministic crafting. And if harvest crafting goes core we'll see that happening more often in later leagues when people realize how this crafting opens up so many possibilities.
On a side note, I don't even understand the criticism besides for the setting up garden part. If you want loot pinatas then garden craft a 100% delirium map for crazy loot? I made 80ex the other day doing juiced 100% t19 del maps with mirror fossils. You can also craft every single piece of gear from scratch if you decide to. Which is amazing for SSF, or people like myself that enjoy creating gear. I've made three entire sets of best in slot gear this league, worth easily ~400ex. |

best league ever imo. Love deterministic crafting where you dont have to rely on trades.

been playing since Abyss and this by far my favourite, just love the crafting pls dont take it away or nerf it!

This league just wasn't for me because:
1) The garden management was tedious and the bosses we're more the same. 2) I don't really min/max so the GG gear wasn't enough incentive for me to engage in the dull garden. |
