[3.13] CoC Bladefall | Screen-wide 40m+ DPS | 10k+ ES | High defense | Any content | Very expensive
" You are right, I can say I have very rarely issues with stuns, I`m currently using: Soul of the Brine King + to mitigate this issue :), I did several tests with Chayula and with this alternative stun mitigate setup and is working very well :) I just bought a +2/+2 armor, I`ll test today :) Another think that I`d like to share, I did several tests with Gloves + 10% Unnerve chance vs Unnerve Cluster (100% as mob has curse), I noticed better performance using Cluster, in my case: Master of Fear + Exploit Weakness. My helm doesn`t have the properly enchant, but is performing better with +1 Power charge and Nearby take 9% increase damage. I`m currently with 1.3M in Blood Stance and 1.2M in Sand Stance, I believe the real DPS is much higher, but I foruns everyone says that is complicate to calculate the Bladefall DPS, btw the DPS on this build is really strong and the combination with Fortify and others DPS mitigation bring a very good balance :) Thanks for the good guide :) Last edited by afonsosp#2315 on Nov 20, 2020, 3:30:49 PM

" Ye, alternative is Brine King + maybe flask craft for 50% avoidance, some other options are also possible but would require more investment. " That's basically best armor you can have, you should gain around 14~18% total damage boost with it (by going from +2 to +4) which is pretty sick. " Problem with cluster - it's a damage loss, while you get the mod on gloves for "free" as long as you have enough currency. Taking curse cluster means you're missing out on other medium cluster with higher damage increase. Unnerve from cluster should perform slightly better vs packs of monsters since you basically apply unnerve instantly to anything you hit, but it shouldn't make any real difference on bosses as you will apply unnerve within first second of attacking them (mostly due to slight Bladefall delay, although Cyclone can also apply it). " As I see it - helm enchant is mostly for the AoE coverage, not for single-target damage (although it might affect it a bit as well), although it is hard to say for sure. " It is indeed hard to estimate dps on this build, primarily because it is hard to estimate amount of hits you do per second on single target - it depends on too many things. There are 5x Bladefalls (Awakened Spell Cascade) that occur between 7 to 9 times per second (depending on your CDR and ASPD), Bladefall can shotgun, so each blade from each Bladefall can hit target separately, but whether it hits or not depends on your AoE, target's hitbox and also map layout (if anything is obstruction cascaded spells or not). The DPS mentioned in the post/title is certainly nowhere near the maximum potential DPS, it's an approximation of an average DPS you should get with the gear I have mentioned in the post. I calculated it based off of my experience on bosses on other builds that I certainly know DPS value on. Potentially it can go all the way up to 40~50m, maybe even higher with exclusively DPS-focused gear and tree (I prefer a more balanced approach though). What's the best way to get a Scepter with +1 Physical Spell gem mod?
What I've been doing is looking for scepters that have that mod, and another useful mod (attack speed, crit, spell damage,) and anulling it. Then adding multimod and the other 2 mods I would need. But the problem is there aren't many appropriate scepter bases with the right base speed for me to anull. is there a better way? I looked at the scepter craft guide and the Fossil route Spell damage+ Attack speed OR Crit looks good, but how would I get the Physical Gem mod? Please forgive me for being a bit ignorant, I've never gone deep into crafting before. |

" As I've mentioned on the crafting guide - there is no best way to approach it. This is especially true if you want the +1 gem mod, it is extremely hard to get. Your best bet is to setup some live searches for scepters and wait. Look for either 2-3 useful mods or for 1 T1-T2 fractured mod. If you have a lot of currency - you can try using Faceted Fossils along with either of the fossils offered in the crafting guide, this will increase chances of getting +1 mods, but it will still be fairly hard to get a straight up usable item. In most cases you'll still have to gamble with beastcrafting or annulling. I personally would only recommend crafting weapon from zero if you have a good fractured base - with either Attack Speed, Crit Chance, Spell Damage or +1 gem. They are rather rare to find though because a lot more people are aware of this build now and are also looking out for those bases, I've noticed that a lot since I was looking for similar bases for my new variation of this build. I've managed to craft 2 weapons with +1 gem in Heist - one with +1 phys and one with +1 spell. I've sold the phys one and kept the spell one for testing: I just chaos spammed this (cheaper than fossils and kinda less tedious) until I got +1 spells, then removed the suffixes and kept exalt slamming into suffix until I got either Crit or Attack Speed, sadly got T2 Crit first but kept it anyway. Potentially you can also annul/scour while have a metamod on the item (like "Prefixes Cannot be Changed") to increase your chances of removing unwanted mod(s), but I only had +1 spell initially. You can also Alt spam the fractured base to get the mod you need to have less initial modifiers you will have to deal with. Although that is only worth it if you are going to exalt slam it later. |

" Alternatively to crafting - you can just buy one, but they will be very expensive. Another problem is - they are rather rare, I've seen maybe 8-10 of them (including ones I've made) on the trade. For the price reference - I've spent around 100ex or so on just slamming the base I've shown above (was kinda unlucky) so it's not really worth selling for a low price. Crafting with Faceted Fossils is also pretty damn expensive and I doubt it would be cheap to get any good result, so the resulting item would also cost a lot. So overall my recommendation is next - if you aren't ready to spend up to 100-150ex on crafting or buying the +1 gem version of the weapon - I would recommend just using a simple spell damage/crit/attack speed one. Min-maxing most of the items on this build isn't cheap and takes time and weapon is one of the hardest pieces to get. Last edited by mgarin#3249 on Nov 27, 2020, 4:53:00 AM

" I can share my personal experience, I crafted and sold many of them. For +1 Physical spell you can spam only the Jagged Fossil, is the cheapest way, normally I get one +1 for every 20-30 tries, your target is get +1 and another good prefix like spell damage, so you can block prefix and scouring the item to apply the multicraft. Maybe you can have lucky and get +1 with a good suffix and ready to craft, but its rare, normally you`ll need to use some anulement and in some tries will loose the +1, but it`s normal, keep crafting. The other way, that is more expensive, but you can try, you can spam Aetheric Fossil, you will get some others +1 like fire, lighting, cold and also spell, your target is +1 spell and +1 physician, using this way you have more good atributes like spell damage. I have to confess that using this way, I got 2 or 3 goods one for fire and cold, and I sold them :) , I got a very good cold one that I sold for 80EX, but as I said is lucky. Another way is also as shared here, buy one with fractured mode, but is hard to find a good one with a good base (Karui). For example, I made my sceptre, I was looking for +1 and critical chance, I think I spent around 10EXs crafting, I stopped because once I got the enought critical chance there is no reason for keeping trying. |

" I just made a video here with a demo crafting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2iOft9oqew&t=15s&ab_channel=SkInS As I said im in previous post, you`ll need to keep trying, if you see in this video, I got my firt +1 in 3 or 4 tries, and later I tried more 60 or 70 and I didn`t get, sometimes I get 2 or 3 in 20 tries, so it`s randon. I also did a test with Aetheric fossil, if you see, I got a good roll in the sceptre, but the +1 was fire damage, probably I`ll sell this one. |
