Path of Exile: Harvest FAQ

If the growth cycle is tied to opening a seed cache in the world/maps, and higher level rewards are obtained by harvesting T1 seeds isn't this going to result in the Harbour Bridge/Quarry issue again?

People will just speed farm 1 area to open caches as fast as possible to maximise their gardens, obtaining all the higher rewards.

Or does the level of the area/cache affect the seeds, so that even though a player might get T3 seeds, they spawn lower level monsters and therefore some things aren't available?

There will be a total of 8 outcomes, including the multiple uses, though you'll usually not have enough Lifeforce to use them all. But you'll hopefully get and be able to afford the one you really wanted.

Can these outcomes be accessed later, when we have a worthy item or enough Lifeforce to use them? Or are the outcomes for that harvest lost if not used?

Lost.

That means 4 layers of RNG (ignoring seed tier). The type of craft on a seed, the actual crafts you get, how many and which one you can afford.

We're really excited about introducing a league with a pace that differs from previous leagues and can't wait to see how players build their characters around these new crafting options.

.....

What's the motivation for killing more monsters?
The more monsters you kill, the more seed drops you get and the more Lifeforce you can collect for your crafting session. Any leftover Lifeforce can be stored and used to yield higher tier plants. Slain monsters also grant experience and item drops as usual, and larger fights result in larger bonuses to item drops.

We are also experimenting with creating a system that means that the more monsters you kill at a time, the more item drops and Lifeforce you get relative to the size of the Harvest. This would be displayed as a list of stats below the Collector's harvest button - similar to the list of stats next to the Metamorph 'power bar'.

The pace will be the same like Delirium or Legion league if you finish/implement your experiment.

How do I get Tier 2 seeds?
Monsters that emerge from Tier 1 plants have a chance to drop Tier 2 seeds when slain. The same principle applies for Tier 3 and Tier 4 seeds.

Do monsters from the garden also drop items?
Yes! The main reward for tending your garden is powerful crafting options, but you'll also receive regular items and potentially some Harvest-specific uniques. The item drop rate of monsters in the garden is higher than that of regular monsters in the main game (because they're league content).
........

League item upgrade mechanic like Talisman league with the same layers of RNG. Hopefully the challenge rewards look as interesting as this past league.

Regarding drop chances. Okay. Looks like the usual approach of adjustments to incentify people to not skip league content if they want to progress the atlas.

Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

I interpreted this as "the more seeds you plant and the more monsters you kill in one go, the more rewards you get." but without it being tied to a timer like delirium and the disappearing fog. You just plant 20 seeds or 30 at once and get more than if you would only plant 10 - but you have as long as it takes you to actually kill the enemies.

This would make it easier to harvest more rewards directly, but harder to put the harvest crafting reward to good use, as you need more items at that time that are worth crafting on.
Look good dude!
Nice one! Looking really good
