First read the forum before arguing. I wrote "for many players" not for all. And the point is, that both is not playable for many: DX and Vulcan.

What for? If Brand builds are forced to recast their Brands, Why not just use Blastchain Mine instead, and just run mines instead of brands. Much lower mana cost, and significantly more single target thanks to the ability to prestack 23+ mines (compared to a paltry 2 brands that will attach to the boss).

Brands were not an issue prior to Archmage, and had an entirely unique playstyle thanks in part to the mechanics of Brand Recall. GGG destroyed their identity completely when all they had to do was scale down Archmage which caused most of these problems in the first place (and tone down Seeker Runes + fix Brand Loyalty).
God! I was so freaking close to purchasing the MTX for storm brand because I really enjoyed the skill so much this league. That's money saved no doubt!

I am sure there are players out there who just really love the current brands playstyle and as a result of it, paid for the MTX, thinking that they would be able to use it every league moving forward. Feeling slightly sorry for them now that brands have been made (possibly) unplayable...

Maybe GGG should consider offering a refund for skill MTX whenever they make major overhauls to certain skills? I mean, why would anyone who bought the Winter Orb MTX need it now? HAHAHA
I dont get ther over the top nerv on brand recall just make archmage not work on brands or give it less effect on brands but removing the duration increse of brand is casuing brand recall just to force a melee playstyle for brands now. if you want to keep it this way please at lest let us cast brand recall on target location to resummon brands there, then it would at lest keep some kind of purpose.

Allso whats the dealw ith pyscals peels converting to lightning but no 100% conversion? its ust annoying always to pick up nodes in templar area or using the udnertuned pysial to lightning support gem.

lastly why is every new cold spell just a dot ( i like dots but winter orb was the last and only cold channel skill and its just shit now even with good gear)

arcanbist brand looks promising unless it has a dmg penality like barrage then its just shit.

At the beginning, i planned to play brand next league. Now, hahaha forget it.
The changes to brands... just... wow!!!

Ok, Archmage Support nerfe, I get that, but the changes to Brand Recall.. why, who wants to recast brands over and over again, if you cast brands one by one, they have no real damage - just remove Brand Recall from the game, it's pointless now.

The beauty of the skill was being able to recast all your brands at the same time and clear a pack of mobs, it will take ages to run through a T16 map casting brands 1 at a time.

It's good that you ruin a perfectly ok and fun build (that just needed a small readjusting of Archmage), and you introduce the crappy lightning armour and ring, can't wait for people to run -300 lightning resistance and melt Sirus in like half a second.


Personally, I don't think it was necessary to both remove Brand Recall's refresh and make its cost based on the Brand's cost. Either removing the refresh (so you can't maintain an Archmage Brand forever) or adjusting the cost (so an Archmage Brand is expensive to carry around) would have been sufficient.
