Announcing Path of Exile: Harvest

Garden Hideout inc? Pog
So is the fragment tab and currency tab gtting a upgrade to include all the old/ new stuff were getting or are we getting a new tab?

All the deleruim orbs, oils and catalyst need their own stash tabs. And the map tab isnt even doings its job. I have to put special maps like non shaper guardian all elder and all blighted maps in their own tabs.

Is the new scarabs and offerings added to the fragment tab this league already for a change? Because let's be honest even if this lague dont go core(and im 90% sure it will) the next league will also have them in their drop table.

Probably sitting this league out.

I always played standard (console), never played leagues.
This time, as soon as I've seen the trailer, a glimpse to some of the crafting recipes, being myself very into crafting, let me think: "those are way too op, they're not gonna add them to core, it's time for me to play my first league after 1 year of playing the game".
Then I've seen Chris Wilson stating, and I'm quoting here,
" The new crafting system is Op and it will probably ruin (yes, he said RUIN) the game, but we are experimenting. It will make standard player jealous, and we are not sure if it will be added to core game, so if you want to deal with it, you better play Harvester".

That left me with sour taste in my mouth.
I always optimistically trusted that all the broken mechanics that have distinghued every single league in the past year since I started play, just slipped in unseen by the devs. And that was one of the reasons, among others, I never played leagues.
Last league with Cluster Jewels my trust start to stumble cause everyone here could see the broken mechanics of cluster jewels so it was strange that devs didn't see it coming.
But now I have kind of a confirmation that not only they know when they are adding in some broken mechanics, but they actually push that to draw people play that particular league. Which is a really short sighted strategy in my opinion.

They knew that synthesis crafting system was way too op. They knew that cyclone in Legion was too op, they knew that minion in Blight and Metamorph were way too op, they knew that cluster jewels were totally broken in Delirium and they now know that the new crafting system in Harvester is broken.
They actually did on purpose all of those.
And I don't think it has anything to do with Mtx sales, but it's related to keep people interested presenting them new broken mechanics each league like the interest in the game is based on abusing broken mechanics. Well if is this the state of the game, if people keep playing just for the sake of abusing a new broken mechanic every 3 months, the game is not in a healthy spot.
I really don't think that this is a fair mid/long term strategy.

I also don't want to start another atlas. The awakening bonuses made it way to much of a grind for a new league.

Another good point I forgot to mention. I also cannot be bothered to yet again grind out to A8 & then the extra additional bonus objectives grind on top of that. Thanks but No thanks. I need a break for at least a league before that incessant grind all over again. At least in Standard I can unlock it all pretty Quickly and then focus on the real reason why I took up this game in the first place :- killing mobs in maps I enjoy running.

I think that the negativity is way overblown on this one and the haters are overthinking things 16 days before launch.

With all due respect, I am one of those "haters" as you put it, and I have to say that I do not agree with that terminology.

I actually love "most of" this game. I've been thoroughly addicted to it since 2017. I love the theorycrafting side of it, I used to love the ability to make and play so many different builds competitively at end game, I have loved many leagues and their mechanics but not all of them.

I am far from a "hater" of GGG & PoE.

However, I have not liked the direction being taken for the last few leagues in terms of content, RNG gating, and also "balancing". The fact that I want to voice my opinions in the vain hope that they might be listened to by someone at GGG and championed again does not make me a "hater".

The problem with this day and age is that people are all too Quick to label anyone whose views they do not agree with. There no longer seems to exist a society in which people are encouraged to express and then debate opposing opinions. It's far simpler, and more encouraged to simply label groups as either fanbois or haters and then leave it at that. As a society we are being constantly dumbed down and morphed into a sheep mentality.

Negativity is also not something that should be viewed as a negative. Negativity is in fact a positive thing because it encourages discussion and mental debate upon issues. Without any contrary comments many, many things in the course of history would have occurred unchecked; and we would be living in a very different society and world right now.

So, I implore you all, next time before simply labelling anything or anyone that does concur with your own personal opinions as "haters" or "negative"; instead take the time to read those opinions and try and balance those objectively against your own. You may all learn something.

I feel like the people who are complaining about the contents of this league aren't heavily invested into the end-game. Casual players who put maybe 200-400 hours into a league don't invest into crafting / don't know how to craft for profit and thus are turned off by the time investment of a league like this. I'm super pumped for it and enjoy the ability to micromanage for profit.

A casual player to you is 200-400 hours per league?? Do you realize that is substantially more playtime then almost any other games get? Casual players might put 20-50 hours in per league if that. Anyone putting 200-400 hours into a league is an elite player.

200 hours equates to playing 6.6 hours a day for 30 days. 400 hours would be 6.6 hours for 60 days. That is a lot of playtime buddy. You sir are proving their point. You have to play 200-400 hours to even see a lot of the content. That is their point.

Thank you for calling this out. A game is no longer a game when you are expected to put 8 hours a day, every day into it, it then becomes a job.

Agreed! Be even better if there was less price fixxers too!
I am happy about the melee changes and for that alone I will bite. The league mechanics.... not so much but I do not mind trying.

Wow they are deleting posts. Interesting, the opinion posts were not attacking and getting deleted just because they don't have an opinion that GGG likes? Wow.

Yeah, this is a new development over the past couple weeks/months.

I see it as a watershed moment for the company (and not in a good way), though I doubt many others recognize it as such, and I expect it will soon be taken for granted and people will forget the days GGG welcomed (well, at least permitted) all feedback, even feedback that calls them out on their mistakes and flaws.

Totally, this part of the side show gets swept under the virtual carpet. I too miss the days of yester-year in this community.
