My final tribute to Charan's Sword (#27 farmed to = the number of Rebirth cards needed for an OG)

I tried this once. I had 4 characters and all were around level 8 but I never got it before the league ended. It was boring but also kinda neat in that by the time they got to level 8 a few of them were quick decently geared. Wisdome scrolls were super valuable.
Nice effort, Arrowneous!

Good one.

I salute You!

The SSF ones are actually provably farmed so I'd say de99ial wins the thread

That's cool, I guess.
Why didn't you do this completely in SSF though?
Not meaning to take anything away from you but can't anyone just buy those swords and make a post like this?

This has been going on for a long time, and was well documented in our OG threads.

The huge Oni-Goroshi thread De99ial started has numerous posts of my Uber Hillock battles throughout it going back to March of 2018 (first documented UH kill). I had read a post in Dec. 2017 that talked about taking a newly washed up exile, kill Hillock, but instead of heading into Lioneye's Watch, log out and wait until the zone reset, then play that exile again to run up the beach and kill Hillock, and rinse and repeat 100s of times until you level that exile into level 6 (at the beginning, now it's level 8), and eventually the exile will come across a different Hillock (the very shy Uber Hillock), with a very special sword in him. I thought "WTF!... you're kidding... how did he think doing that would ever lead to a great reward? That's crazy shit to have figured out that secret grind. Chris and company are wickedly devious to have done that."

Yes, it is physically possible to buy 27 OGs and fake a post like this but why would you? Why pretend that you physically ground out 27 OGs when you didn't do that (there is no point).

In looking back in that thread my first post on Killing UH is on page 6 (March 7, 2018). I had a couple of swords stashed by the time I decided to document my UH kills. Wow! This old picture says it all on how ignorant I was on battling Uber Hillock:

Scores of Awakened Zombies and all I could do was attack UH until dead, rush back and wack on him a few more times until dead, and rinse and repeat. I hadn't learned yet to stay in melee close range to prevent him from jumping and raising up his minions. 7 deaths later and I got a Charan's Sword with a crappy 73% crit. But I was happy I got my OG so that is all that mattered.

Today (Wednesday before the start of Harvest league) I can look back on all this and say "it's done, my insanity beach grinding days are over for good". On to the next insanity grind in another game (I don't have the mental energy to grind level 100 here).

It does take a level of mental fortitude (or insanity) to keep grinding the TSB to level up an exile. Sometimes in the late night hours of grinding the beach an alcoholic beverage is quite helpful. For me being aspi helped a lot. Repetition of a task (beach run to kill Hillock) is comforting to aspi persons so the comfort of doing the same thing over and over and over ad nauseum is largely the reason I was able to keep pushing on until I had farmed 27 Oni-Goroshi swords. Yes, by the time you do get an OG you can AFK through the first few acts. I've even gotten 2 Tabula drops on the TSB to make the 10 act run a breeze.
