3.10.2 Patch with Beta of Vulkan Renderer
Anyone else using POE Trades Companion and notice the notification windows are now hidden behind the game when playing?
I can see them come back when I click out of game on my second monitor, but as soon as I return to the game the overlay is hidden again behind the game.. This makes Buy/Sell notification non-visibale while game is in focus. Running 2560x1440p Windowed Fullscreen. I also notice a "Focus Flash" in the game when I move to my second monitor and back to the game. The game flashes when it loses/regains focus. I'm getting good feedback. 5 Celsius drop on CPU and GPU which makes my fans less noisy.

Done some more tests now that I can....
Game runs way smoother. Even my flicker strike (which I assume causes more problems on server sync than just asset loading) + delirium, and, wow, very smooth. Ok, getting some less fps, but really don't care, at 80-100fps avg its more than enough. Sometimes a little more, sometimes less, least I get is like 50fps? I can increase this value by simply lowering the global lighting quality to default/low, which has minimal difference if you ask me visually and easily pops my fps to 170+. As long as I am over 60 for these first iterations of Vulkan I am more than happy. Also, did you guys improve generally the visual quality? Things look... so much clearer on my end! Wow, great work guys. Smoother gameplay, and looks better for me at least. Keep this up. My only concern is something you said in your post. About this becoming the default renderer going forward in the future. I hope this does not mean that there will be no DX selection, as all older cards will not be able to play the game period. As a F2P game I assume this can result in a very large portion of players not being able to play the game. Leave the DX selection available at least so those people can play the game. Other than that........ what can I say GGG... Other than, GG. Seriously, I was not even expecting something so big in terms of performance so soon, espeicaly with the lockdown and a new season coming up. You guys blew my mind with the announcement of PoE 2, and you are continuing the wow factor and surprises even now. The best arpg just keeps getting better. Just, fix/increase map drop rates from maps :P Last edited by HazaRdReborN#3855 on May 28, 2020, 3:18:26 PM

After switching to Vulkan I can't enter Vaal City in Act 7 from Causeway.

" Delirium League is an absolute disaster. I can honestly say it is the worst mechanic ever designed where 90% of maps are incompatible with the fog mechanic. The real kicker is even if you've nearly cleared a juiced up T16 map but just failed to kill the boss due to rng layout or boss sequence delays, you get as measly as ~5 simulacrum splinter. Very poorly thought out design. PoE is a great ARPG, but far from being the best by any means. BTW GGG, with this vulcan supported patch, DX11 performs significantly worse now. I would recommend you do some serious testing before you release any sort of update to production. "I've played a lot of videogames. It's my primary recreational activity. " Hi. No, I'm using Solus OS, and it's still on Mesa 19.3... still waiting to update to Mesa 20.x The Lord's Labyrinth awaits you.
Choose wisely, strike quickly. Thrust completely. And may you find the ending that you deserve. |
