[3.21] Aegis Incinerate Elementalist - Tank with over 10mil Shaper DPS!

I've been testing with my inquistor from delrium on standard and can get to around 50/50 block without flasks if I remove glancing blow, and have not had issues so far in the t16 maps Ive played today. I still think it will be better to have glancing blows for the higher block chance, but its nice to see its doable without at a certain point.

Also for movement skills you can use leap slam, and it will only drop the grasping vine count by one vs other movement skill. You may have already known that but its helpful and also serves to trigger the increased cast speed from a recent attack with instruments of virtue.

EDIT - I should preface by saying im also running grace in my setup along with determination, herald of ash, and discipline, and have between 80% to 100% reduced extra damage from critical strikes which I think improves stability alot. Ill test it out without grace and see if its still feasible.

I tried Leap Slam in this build, but it just feels slow :)

I don't think it's easy to get maxed block chance without Glancing Blows, without having to sacrifice something else though (life or dmg).

Though, if someone wants to try it out... ^^
No, you're right, I've played around with different pobs in the past as well and I dont think its possible to proficiently get max block without glancing blows.

Leapslam feels slow at first but you do get use to it. It was mainly for the benefit of triggering cast speed increase on bosses without resetting the grasping vines benefit entirely.

I really enjoy this build and think im going to do it again this league as my starter. It so much more fun when you dont get 1 shot to random crap that you have no idea what was :)
Have you thought about using Shield Charge or even Leap Slam as movement skills so we can benefit more from Instrument of Virtue ascendancy?

Yea but both would require atleast 2 gem slots to be usefull (and we are already socket starved) and even then, Flame Dash would still feel a ton faster.
good luck to everyone playing the build this league.

@Claeysken will you be joining us in Heist or are you staying in standard?

If you stay in standard, let us know what you think of the damage in case the lower numbers come from something outside of POB calculation differences.

Jup, I'll atleast try the league ^^
But I'll keep a close eye on upgrades for this build too ;)

Onslaught is fantastic but I guess the choice between Riposte and Reckoning will come down to offense vs defense as the debilitate buff looks nice as well.

It looks fairly easy to keep up either one up near 100% of the time since we hit so frequently with Incinerate.

Yea, and also, Reckoning is an AoE skill, so will hit multiple enemies at once, Riposte is only 1 target.
Reckoning will be better still I think.

Is it viable (or crazy) to try and use both Reckoning and Riposte by leaving Reckoning where it is and then using Riposte in a second unset ring?

Riposte by itself is rather meaningless but if we can use it to proc Onslaught, it might have some good synergy with our build.

If you can manage your other stats while getting the extra unset ring, sure!
Either that, or I've been thinking about maybe dropping Vaal RF... Ofcourse it's good against bosses, but useless in mapping, and then Onslaught would give more to the build.

that is an interesting trade off.

We could even swap gems in a single unset ring set up. VRF for big bosses and Riposte while mapping and regular bosses.

By the way, I noticed you did not enable VRF in the POB link(this may have been by choice). When you enable it, the DPS jumps from 5.4m to over 7m.

If we can squeeze in two unset rings, onslaught gets the build to peak at 7.6m
