I'm not arguing that the build deserved a nerf, but the point of this discussion is just one:

I (and many other people) invested all my currency because GGG stated that the build would not be modified during this league, so I wanted to try some fun.
Now, after 2 Days they nerfed it.

Of course not! It's a kick in the nuts, but i dont support angry players literally throwing shit because they dont understand they real problem because of this quick fix.

And if this many people playing this OP build was screwing up servers all the way this would end in a bigger issue for all of us so, better to stop it now and screw 100 players (example) instead of 1000

It wasn't an issue when only 1 or 2 youtubers were playing the build, it is now that way more poeople is facetaking shit in uber elder and rushing 1s maps. Those actions and numbers that imply hurt the servers.

The nerf the fucking solitice vigil. My build doen't use that item, but will get destroyed by this. So will my first build (champion) who also has some auras in the ascendency ... And i'm definitely not in the to 5% also. Got lucky with a decent craft and got 35ex on it plus a few ex drop. So my 40ex went into a second build that will get destroyed by this nerfs alongside all my earned currency this league.

that's unfair to those 80% or more of players and it's fatal to the game.

This is the classic oh shit we panic because everyone on reddit is angry reaction. I'm completely fine that you want to fix unintended interactions, nobody can really be mad about that.

However what I'm mad about is the fact that you give people the reason to go for it and then decide to walk back on it. You should in the future probably think a bit further ahead before allowing your community manager to post the go ahead.

In future reference, code your things better, if you did that, this problem would have been avoided with a few lines of text ie:

Your active skill auras are ....

Put tailwind and all other temporary procs under passive buff effects.

Either way this is a valuable lesson for the devs to look a bit deeper into interactions and maybe they can learn enough from it to prevent it from happening.

The problem is not fixing a bug mid-league.

The problem is compromising trust and also exploiting herald MTX sales.

It is about making a statement and then betraying the people who actually trusted GGG's word. (Yes, a public word from Bex on issues is an official word from GGG.)

Those people lost their time (and most likely much RMT) investment of weeks. I am really sad to see many people and even laughing at that.

I don't see why this is worse than any other abuse of previous super OP builds in the past. That is another discussion.

However, if you believe it warrants a roll-back of the people's progress then do a roll-back for all the people.

If you see this action absolutely necessary, GGG, then don't just punish those who trusted your word and invested in it.

If such an action is warranted then start the league over or do a full roll-back of about two weeks. We'll see what all those people react who are so easy to say to others: "It is just a game, why cry :P "

It would stir up emotions but at least it would be just for everyone.
