GGPK Defragmenter

Wow o.O

I'm playing since the first day of open beta and this little tool just shaved 2.8 Gigabytes of data from my .GGPK file o.O Start Up time as been decreased by about 2 minutes xD

Took 8min but had over a gig saved and dropped loading times to under 20sec from over 3 min. Thank you for this wonderful tool.

The file used to take about 1.4mb (February 2013), now it use 2.4mb and I see no update log.

So what did you change since then? why the near double in size? You guys might want to take a look a the source again..not that I doubt something but you don't update a program without telling anyone, no?

If you take a look at the revisions page in the source, you'll see what changed. They added some registry stuff and other output to make the process a little more clear and informative.

Perhaps that is what you see as the increase.

Personally, I run on Linux and don't use the exe. I just execute the .rb file directly in ruby (with modification to remove the registry stuff since Linux doesn't have the registry or the modules for it).

It also informs users that the product is being maintained and not abandoned. An abandoned product makes people wonder if it is still compatible years later...
