Changes to the Atlas of Worlds in Path of Exile: Delirium
I got bored of not being able to farm the same map over and over. Weird to say that but i'm not alone in that case it seems.
Being able to sustain t14+ easily enough thanks to the AL bonus was the only upside of the new atlas. Once again : access to game content should never be subject of RNG !! I'm more and more lazy to start everything again every league because it s getting longer every patch that i wanna simply log in standard to create a few builds and play but now with the atlas being wiped there also with no AL bonus or carto seals im not sure i wanna play at all higher than lvl 80 ish. I feel the game is evolving too much, too fast and we dont have time to breeze. Adding to this, even tho it's off topic, we gotta spend more and more time in the menu in order to play. Every bit of content we now get, we have toi take care of some "gauge" either in the form of sulphite, sextant, rolling maps, influence etc. I never really liked maps and always wanted Maelstrom of Chaos back as an alternative, for the sheer simplicity of it. Click, play, kill some shit, enjoy the gameplay. Maker of ZeeL's Amplifier. Last edited by Kagari#0130 on Mar 2, 2020, 2:59:52 AM

looks nice, but change again, and again, and again, is not so funny anymore for me, i cant play 15hrs a day guys, i barely can keep up with the other changes, and then, the passive skill tree is gonna chenge again, and the nerf is on the way for items i spend hours and hours to get, pfff... this is so depressing, i wish a bit more of stability, you know for people like me that dont have to spend 20hrs a day playing!
Ty GGG, pls listen to someone like me too... thank you i want to subscribe

How To Make Something Worse 101

Perandus and Doryani no awakening possible, check. Changing useful awakener bonuses into useless master "buff" check. I have like 70 red missione everywhere, excemt 40 niko and 20 zana, Hurray, lets drop less maps and get mmore uselesss master mission (only if you play much, for casual players its 5% less missions for weeeks or months) THIS IS A BUFF
Guess no fun allowed. |

Yo,
As casual dad, meta was very first league ever for me to progress endgame almost to the end (ended on killing sir on lvl 7 awek). For me always red maps were a huge problem, i never really cared to do some "tricks" with blocking or whatever i never really wanted to trade maps. I honestly dont give a shit about masters since (as many of You wrote) except zana/niko rest is meh. I d like GGG to not listen to [Removed by Support] streamers (which are cancer of this game) but to a hundreds/thousands fucking casuals like me who gets annoyed each league because of lack of progress/very poor map sustain. RIP meta league you will not be forgotten. Last edited by Isaac_GGG#0000 on Mar 2, 2020, 3:12:42 AM

I am standard player and I think there are only a few as left thanks to GGG.
So that's not a big problem. PoE 2 has only a new story line rest is same and that's it. I am tired of Sirus. They must repair it. I try Wolcen. |

I fail to understand how this will incentivise higher awakening levels...
This will force higher awakening levels but imo actually incentivise to only unlock specific maps... First and for all overall we will be getting no more +1 or +2 maps ... So straight up this is a nerf of like times 9 maps we get ( since a +1 map is pretty much 3 times map value ) Second the increased effect on maps is not really welcome since it can make the maps very hard to even impossible for certain builds... so tying that to map completion bonus is not really incentivising map completion. The biggest problem i find here is that there is no way to uncomplete a map anymore and so can brick your entire atlas. I don't get why they wre "hyping" us up with saying that this incentivises higher awakening levels ( which it really doesnt do at all ) and then straight up nerf the map drops ... unless we get a SERIOUS map drop increase , this will make people not find any high lvl maps at all anymore. |

If map sustain is ANY worse (in fact it should be better) than it was this league it could really hurt the longevity of the experience, noone likes having to deal with your excuse of a trading system much(I know you guys don't like to address this issue but it's a MAJOR downfall for the entire game when it actually takes you away from the game and throws you into some random browser trading simulator minigame), specially if it's to buy more maps, none likes to be forced to run maps they dislike, may it be because they don't enjoy said map, or because their build performs poorly in it (summoner builds vs acid caverns for example, the map boss there is just so poorly designed for summoners, or simple builds with movement skills that do not interact well with certain layouts, see stuff like shield wall dealing with small corridors and walls everywhere although I'm pretty sure noone likes to have to deal with walls everywhere), ultimately us having a worse map pool/being forced to run things we dislike, results in us probably getting tired of the experience faster and quitting sooner and that's bad for revenue, longevity of your product.
We should be able to pick a pool of selected maps we like from each sector, since you guys seem so firm to want us to do more sectors, with a GOOD map return system (one that's much better than what we had in 3.9 and this forum post kinda leans towards the opposite direction). Master missions are NOT better than having better map options, on one side you have a added chance to get masters in your maps (us disliking, sometimes ignoring some of these masters is another factor that makes this option worse), on the other you have a increase in odds of having better maps and better map sustain, this one is definitely better. Making objective completion result in harder maps, needs a closer inspection: it can easily break some builds because some of your modifiers are already heavily unfair towards them(I still, to this day find no reason for stuff like reflect and no regeneration mods to exist these tbh are not fun to deal with they don't give you options is all), like ailment based builds, and the avoid ailments map mod, make sure that doesn't break ailment bases builds, we don't need more map breaking mods, we in fact don't need any at all, they don't do anything for us, difficulty is one thing, and it's ok but a straight wall on your road with no options, is not ok. Master missions are nice, not universally, some people like/want to only do some, some people dodge most if not all of them all together. They certainly are not a big enough incentive to increase the bonus, specially when it comes in a bundle with a difficulty scaling where previously we had a straight buff to map sustainability which is a big incentive given my previous points about map sustain. About the atlas reshuffle, I feel like that didn't get much attention, one thing that turns off many people I know, me included is having to redo the entire atlas bonus each and every league, specially given how many maps that takes to achieve, and that just got MUCH worse thanks the the awakening bonus/level added in 3.9, on top of that, redoing maps every league for the bonus also means we will have to deal with those maps that I mentioned earlier, those we really dislike and/or perform poorly in because of our build, which is not really fun. Being able to chose which maps to do to unlock bonuses in bundles rather than having to run even those we dislike/perform poorly in would be awesome. So my question is, is the reshuffle thing only happening for standard? if it is, could you guys look into what I just hinted towards, aka a system that allows us to unlock map bonuses for maps we dislike/perform poorly in. |
