New nodes are 7 talent points for super underwhelming effects.

Less impact on heralds than a cheap ring, and buffing a skill no one uses (imagine if they had made it cast itself on crit once every 4 seconds, now we are talking).

I suspect it will be 200 lame ones and 3 good ones.

Well i suppose that going for a single notable won't be worth it for the most part. Don't plan your starters around it.. It does seem worth it if you chain a few and if there's a really good one for your build. A mini scion life wheel could be great if you are nowhere close to it etc.. And there are also keystones..

I think they will be great for minmaxing but don't make those nodes the core of your build and be prepared to spend some currency rolling them as close to perfect for you as you can.. Or buying something good..

Edit: also getting dex side passives to the str and int sides also seems worth it since you can socket them all around the tree

Oh well surely there will be some other things for me to be interested in by release.
I think 95% of these jewels are going to be useless or not worth the passive point. At best there might be one or two meta jewels that would really be good but the chance of getting those are gonna be super rare and maybe 1 Mirror or something in the first month of the league
Really hate Maven as a boss and its mechanics! pls give us something cool like Elder/Shaper

The minor nodes on the jewel itself seem okay because they're thematic but the outer jewel sockets should NOT be preceded by 2 trash nodes anymore. I don't see why they can't just be one point now that they don't socket regular jewels anymore. maybe put 1 stat node before them at most? It honestly feels like a lot of points for very little gain.
Felt hyped at first glance, but now not so much.
First you need to activate one outer jewel socket, which is already 3 skill points and give by itself nearly nothing (2x very weak node). With a classic jewel, it's worth it only if your jewel is very good.
Here you socket a jewel which does nothing without spending more points. So you need 3-4 additionnal points, that's at least 6-7 points total to get the passive node.
That node must be very good, or build enabling (a "chaos damage does not bypass ES" for example), to be worth spending so much skill points.
Those presented ones are clearly not worth 6 (herald) 7 (warcry) points for me. If at least they also had a socket ...

+1. Merge the two nodes into one with the total "buff" on it.
