Simple Question: I Need Tier 13 Maps, What Should I do?
" No I didnt change my setup unless I had to in order to farm another area. To me it sounds like its working now. Maps are dropping, you got higher tier drops and RNG kicked you right in the ass by not dropping anything for a while - thats normal. It will happen all the time. Right now you are trying to break into the highest maptiers as well as trying to sustain the highest tiers. Thats always tough and time consuming. Your atlas bonus is almost good enough to support this, but not quite. 130+ atlas bonus would feel a lot better in terms of sustain, because 30% of the maps will drop as a +2 map - helping out a lot to sustain t14+. To help out with sustaining maps in this phase, Im usually relying on Delve. Delving to 200+ and clearing some outposts/cities/chambers does help. Sometimes those drop nothing at all, but sometimes they do drop half a dozen high maps. So I like clearing those for sure. Especially if you manage to find a cluster of 5 or more cities. That should always boost your mappool a lot. So here is something to work on: - Delve to depth 200+ and farm cities/chambers/outposts - Buy cheap unique maps you are missing to boost your atlas bonus to 130+ - Be patient! Getting there will take a huge amount of maps. - Keep running red maps if you can, doesnt matter which tier it is. Build up your pool of reds, do all Niko missions on your way and/or use scarabs to get more delve fuel. - ALWAYS run zana missions on your highest maps to force a second map of a similar tier and double your drop chances Some mapping techniques you might find interesting: 1. Clear a normal and a quad tab, if you can 2. The normal tab will be referred to as pool and the quad tab is your dump tab 3. Roll 10-20 maps, put them into to your pool tab alongside sextants, scarabs, frags and all that stuff. Have them ready in batches of 3 maps (sextant charges) 4. Go to your mapdevice (or master), add all the things to the device, activate it and run the map. 5. Have a map along frags and all that in your inventory before you enter the map. 6. After clearing your map, activate the map you already had in your inventory immediately once you are back. While the map is being generated, dump all your loot into the dump tab. Dont ID it, dont sort, dont check prices - just dump it. 7. Go to your pool tab and grab the next map set 8. Enter the now generated map 9. Rinse & repeat until you need a break 10. Sort out your dump tab, check and prize your loot, when you are taking a break. 11. Prepare another 10-20 maps The general idea is to be in maps and kill mobs most of the time. Sorting loot in your hideout doesnt get you anywhere ;) So the less time you do spend sorting and looking up stuff, the more time you will spend killing mobs to drop more loot and farm more xp/hour. This is how you farm tons of maps in short time. The more maps you run, the better your drops will be overall. It is what is. The more drop chances you create, the more opportunities you get to overcome RNG. Which means one the most important things to do is: Dont expect drops. You´ll just get mad at dry spells and those will happen. But there will also be freak maps dropping 5-6 good maps and there is also delve to supplement. Just keep running reds as fast as you can. Dont bother about tiers, dont try to force getting higher tiers. You will fail miserably if you do. RNG will even out over time and getting there takes a lot of maps. Keep going and you will get there |
