90+ leveling tips for those who die a lot
" Unlike most threads these days, you seem to want to help the community and you put actual thought into your post. That deserves a rare 👍. |

" Nah it stops at 83, they get harder as you get deeper and the rewards improve (though not significantly enough to reward the difficulty IMO) but the monster level no longer increases or we'd all be 100 already lol |

Find anything you enjoy doing without dying and do a hell of a lot of it.

I have ALWAYS used delve for leveling.
Niko IS your friend. Maybe it's a psychological thing, but I have it in my head that when I get around 80% I head to Delve. It just seems guaranteed, or maybe it's more guaranteed I will rip in a map. I will wear your ghost and you will die twice, against me and for me.
That is some cold blooded shit to say... |

To be fair once you get to 95 or 96 (unless you have a 100 goal), the risk reward in softcore simply means that you will die more.
At that point its unlikely a single skill point will make a difference in hours of gameplay it will take to lvl up. You dont have to worry about MM or crazy map mods. The returns may be worth a death or two depending on what you are doing. So yes you could play more careful, and avoid danger, but what's the point? In 100 maps you get a skill point? No thanks. " You need to: - have a stable internet connection (deaths due to lag will happen otherwise) - run a build that's able to run T15/T16 maps in principle - be aware what mods and mod combinations you can run and which ones you need to avoid (no "alch and go", pick what you can safely do and also keep in mind that some mods can be problematic for certain map bosses in particular, e. g. higher AOE for Kitava fights) - avoid metamorphs and other dangerous encounters that can easily kill you (conquerers, some legion mobs, certain map bosses, breachlords, shaper/elder (guardians), etc.) - know what your build can handle and play it safe 100% of the time - avoid party play unless you're sure the other player(s) is/are an actual help and not a burden If your build can do delve well, do a lot of delving. If you can handle Betrayal encounters, do safehouse runs (they give tons of xp). Do level 83 Alva temples (watch that chaos damage!). |

"I very rarely die in Delve at all. And I really don't like skipping the league mechanic, which is MMs that kill me far more often than anything else. So I go to other activities, level up, and go on dying 3 times from MMs since I don't bother anymore about losing XP - I am at 0% anyway. " For me it is a good exp for at least I don't die in Delve. Especially if you can clear side-rooms (it is important for your XP/Sulphite ratio). Currently at depth 138 I have monster level 80. Generally I've heard keeping between 100 and 150 is an option. And you should "listen" to how the difficulty feels for you - if you "almost die" - don't go deeper. You can always go horizontally on the roughly same depth. " Because when I set task for leveling-up - I skip MM on any map above T6. Just to be sure I don't die stupidly. And the whole idea is "get ready, then get away from maps for as long as you can". " Thank you. P.S. By the way, for those who don't know: it is important to make Niko missions on a maximum tier map with maximum quantity. Last edited by MisterAL#7047 on Jan 6, 2020, 9:54:59 AM
