Sirus fight is making me quit POE
" Watching that fight made me realize it's really not just my aging dinosaur that makes it hard to track him. Every time he jumped I had no idea where he went. I mean at least when I'm actually playing I can make an educated guess but watching it from the outside is just a glaring reminder of how much more interesting Uber Elder is. Yep, totally over league play.

I am honestly done with this. The game is great, without any doubt, but this boss is just garbage, there is no other way to call this as sorry as I am. All phases but the final one are boring as hell, 0% challenge just to get to the final phase which is completely unbeatable unless you are a pro gamer or maybe for some builds. I am playing this game a hell of a lot, I am accepting challenges, but not that shit. Remove the boss, resuse the models somewhere else in the game, stop patching an encounter that was bad from the beginning and will never be anyhow challenging, fun and fair to play.

At least give us an option to skip this fight entirely. I just want the atlas resetted as soon as I kill the last conqueror and start over spawning them.

Playing ED/Contagion Trickster, had to summon him three times to finally beat him. Takes me a long time for the fight, cuz of the dot-build
Thought the fight was actually cool. I hads no bugs ( at least none that I recognized) His off-screen Beam can be really annoying sometimes, but it is manageable and you don't have to be a pro gamer or anything. My gear is not budget tho and I played alot. Still, I feel like a good singletarget build should have no problems with the fight. Are people expecting to beat him on the first summon, when they never fought him? I don't understand?! |

" 110% agree. This fight for me was complete BS. One, I watched a video before hand, because getting Sirus to spawn in the first place is too much work and I didn't want to fail the fight. Two, rule #1 is stay out of the moving ground vortex's. This is instant death. And guess what my first two, immediate deaths were? The moving vortex's. Did I die because I didn't know, no. Did I die because I'm stupid and ran into them anyway, no. Did I die because the vortex ground effects, et. al., lagged the zone to hell, froze me in place so I couldn't move, and then unfroze to me into uncontrollable, super-speed right into a vortex, yes, ffffing twice. To portals gone, not to mention a hefty amount of XP. Talking about being pissed off. The other 4 portals weren't much better. Enter the zone a third time, navigate the paths between the vortex's in search of Sirus, and before I find him I get one-shot from off-screen. This happened 3 times. It wasn't until the 6th and final portal until I got to actually see Sirus on the screen, and I got lit up and killed by some aoe skill that covered the entire screen before I got to do much of anything. And the worst part, getting Sirus to spawn a 2nd time for another go is significantly harder to do. This encounter is the worst thing in ANY game I have ever played. I completely agree with this. Enjoy the game but the changes that were made this season to Sirus is just dumb. It's one of the end game bosses and I expect it to be challenging however this fight is just purely broke. Teleport off the screen with the triple lasers. Even flame dashing around trying to avoid and find him. It's just not a good mechanic with no viable way of avoiding. The beams in the center that slow you to a complete crawl 3 lasers dead. I've been trapped at the entrance with the clouds. I've been stuck in his wall not able to move at all. Please fix this. I very much like how the map is done now. I can see some increase in difficulty needed but this is overboard mates.

Not quiting the game, but I will just keep farming, and not attempt this shitty boss again. A whole day, and lot of currency to spawn this boss to lose it all to the environment. The storms hitboxes are bigger then the actual storm, kills you instantly even with 5k life+90% phys red+capped ele res. The fight is not even challenging in a fun way, just in a dumb, infuriating way. The boss spends most of the fight floating, or inside the storms, totally inaccessible. It's not a fight, it's a hide and seek while you see everything on the environment trying to instakill you. Lag spike(which happens a lot)? You're dead. You died? Sirus will summon another storm where you died to make it even harder. You tried to run for safety? Now there's a infinite storm on the map entrance and you just lost hours of game because you can't get to the fight again. The person who designed this fight should be fired, or at least not be allowed to design anything anymore (or die on a fire, idk). Shitiest boss design I ever seen. 0/10 PS: The boss is in the core quest/progression of the new expansion. It's not a high level/1%/streamer only/expert only boss. Shouldn't be that difficult. |

Wow, just wow. Killed Sirus 8 many times last league without issues (except the usual getting killed instantly by an offscreen die-beam when rejoining the fight after a first death).
Problems so far this league: The new action speed reduction is completely garbage and unfun. Stop slowing our characters down as a mechanic. Is this going to turn into another fight where it is mandatory to swap in Kaom's Roots? Or is this GGG's way of trying to force everyone to use Dash with Second Wind as their movement skill. The random teleporting of Sirus is out of control. But most of all: the damn performance of this fight! It feels like textures aren't loading properly or something. In between the game zooming in and out randomly I'm sometimes getting rebouding even though I'm playing with lockstep. This never occurred a single time last league and doesn't occur for me anywhere else in the game. Sirus' throne seems to be blocking my view when ground Sirus goes behind him. Maybe this also happened last league but I seriously don't remember it ever being an issue. Please, please GGG, just revert the fight to what is was last league. |
