Reverse most of the hideout changes from 3.9 please | Waiting for an update ?

GGG, I can’t understand why you are doing this? What did you get from these changes? What did the players get, besides a bunch of problems for those who worked with hideouts? 13 my hideouts are broken... ty...
Pretty frustrating, I log in and my hideout is not the way I want it.
Considering the graphics overhaul that's coming in the lead up and release of PoE 2 your hideouts are going to be looking completely different anyway. Just get over it, hell we used to have to remake hideouts every damn league.

Just because we had to do something shitty before doesn't mean we have to put up with it again. Part of the reason they did the hideout improvements was as a significant convenience for us. It is a bit self-serving for them since it means we end up paying for more hideout decorations and such, but that's kinda part of being a business isn't it? Make customers happy and they're more likely to spend more for your goods and services.

Along those lines, if they're smart and intend for us to not raise more hell then they'll ensure the areas where we tend to spend most of our time is not so drastically changed that our efforts are rendered moot.

What they should be doing in the future is going over some of the specific ways they want to update graphics and such, particularly if it's for performance reasons. Letting us know beforehand to expect specific changes will soften the blow significantly, especially if they absolutely must do full updates on textures and the like instead of offering extra variations like what should have happened with the pipes shown at https://old.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/dimkqn/can_we_get_the_old_pipe_decoration_color_back/
It might be stupid, but i would advice waiting for the PoE.2 release to invest time into hide-outs.

The chances the system will be stable for a serious time after that i think is reasonably high so i would simply save the effort to go ham when it goes live.

I can totally see the demotivation though, specially given the lack of communication or advance warning. Though, to play devils advocat, i assume they are extremely bussy currently in the run-up to PoE2.

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
I think everyone should bare in mind that these hideout doodads are not exclusive to hideouts, and changes to them may be due to changes needed in the areas where they come from, and ultimately this means things are going to get out of sync.

Additionally, it is likely that unintended changes to hideouts occurred as a side effect to changes made elsewhere in the engine, such as with the lighting system.

The very limited response to the issues demonstrates how important it actually is for GGG to address these problems, which is to say, barely, if at all.

Bringing back old things will not necessarily be possible without affecting other parts of the game, and in order for that to be prevented entirely they would need to keep separate art sets for hideouts which would ultimately mean that hideout art isn't frequently added or is added as MTX only.

Their main focus must be the campaigns and the maps, decorating hideouts are a secondary feature that a large portion of the player base basically ignores.

That all said, I personally haven't encountered any problems with these updates the last 2 leagues other than my waypoint running away in 3.8

Is it our game, no, do we support it, yes, are hideouts a major factor in their financial support?

I doubt it.

My huge hideout is destroyed now. Please come back to old HO.
My hideouts do not load properly either. Bump for GGG to see :(
This game is not worth the time spent on it. They are unable to improve the software whiteout destroying it in the first place. Every time they doing something all your effort is gone like your builds, skillthree, now HIDEOUTS... A regular game stays always the same if you take a break. But in PoE they changing it on the fly like an Alpha, based on monthly revenue they collected from selling microtransactions. I'm certainly not spending my time anymore for it.
