3.9|Stress-Free PoE- ENDURING FIRE (RF) |SSF the Atlas w/ 1Button & Any Gear|Dungeon Crawl PoE!

Thanks for the kind words!

I looked at your suggested skill tree. Did some changes myself. This is a setup with your "old" gear but with a imagined 6-linked chest. This build is touching 1 mill Shaper DPS (~1.5 mill mapping DPS). I duplicated your jewel once in this build and included a "fantasy jewel" based on one of the jewels I have gotten this league. Hitting Vaal RF will boost damage to 4.5 mill Shaper dps.

I believe one should consider more jewels. Example of jewels which can be useful:

Another thing I notice is that the damage from End.Charges is just about 100k dps. That's about the same as enabling/disabling Ele. weakness. There might be something to be gained there doing min/maxing on usage of skill points, double curse, jewels, life pool. I know End.charges have other uses, but it's not given going out of the way to get them is given. Like "Disciple of the unyielding" is 5 skill points. Could be an anointment (not an expensive one either).
Getting level 5 Awakened curse on hit gem let's you respec either 3 skill points or one can use Witchfire Brew flask (a third curse) for another +100k dps.

There is also more potential damage to be had with going for 21/23 gems and/or Awakened gems.
A sulphur flask adds ~90k dps.
21/23 gems adds ~100k dps.
A Carcass Jack would add ~90k dps and AoE.
Enchantment on helmet ~60k dps.
All these upgrades would be in addition to the mentioned 1 mill Shaper dps.

I might try out this version on Metamorph seeing as I have a lvl 88 Juggernaut (just need a million orbs of regret...)

Edit:
After spending some more time with the skill tree I might consider something like this ( https://pastebin.com/rWPTgQzU )
Anointed "Growth and Decay" on your amulet. About 1.36 mill Shaper dps without many of the suggested buffs mentioned.
With only 98 skill points spent - https://pastebin.com/Rzeci5Wh

Wrecker, I highly appreciate your build guides. Will try this build as a 3.10 league starter.

Awesome suggestions Twiiik!

All make perfect sense. I'll be making an extra note in my guide for 3.10 that my guides can be customized as much as anyone wants...which obviously includes min/maxing as well. A big part of my guides is to not "require" anything but the skill tree and gems for the build to function properly and be efficient. I don't want people to NEED great RNG luck to play the game. So if someone gets an epic jewel, amazing gem, a specific anointing, or crazy rolls on a perfectly rolled helmet, they can make the changes they need to accommodate, but they won't "need" it, you know?

I totally agree that more jewels would make this build stronger. I can't handle more than one jewel socket per build but others are more than welcome to whatever they like. Plus, 3.10 is going to be changing how many jewel slots people use in their trees anyway.

I'll take a look at the Endurance Charges again. Once Patch Notes are released I always do a thorough gutting of all my guides are rebuild them from the ground up. So we'll see what we have in store.

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback. If anything else comes to mind, please let me know.

Edit: I forgot to comment on your Pastebin. An awesome tree for only being level 75! It does deal tons of damage for sure. I took off all your items and it still hits hard. Good job. A couple of thing I would watch for is life, Shock, and EE. 160% life is really low for an RF build. Maybe not with the gear someone might have, if someone has the right gear waiting for them as they progress, 160% might be good. But that's low for my liking even for a normal skill that isn't eating my life. PoB's shock value is still the old method of 50% increased damage. It hasn't updated to the varying system yet. So Shocked in PoB will always give way more damage than the actual game will give you. EE is awesome with RF for sure, but not coupled with Incinerate. I really played around with EE vs. "more fire damage via Hits" while planning my possible 3.10 tree. It's a hard choice.

I really like the tree though. I like that the jewels sockets are only one point away from the main path and that you still have good damage at level 75. I'll play with it lots and see what I can figure out for a level 90 tree.

Awesome job!

Hey SauMaris! It's always a pleasure! RF is a tricky one to level with, but not if you can get a nice Fire Spell early on. And then once RF is easily sustained...goodness...so awesome. Thanks for the encouragement! It'll be nice to have you around.

Hi mate, appreciate this build guide. I am enjoying this build so far. One question I have is why you do not include a mobility skill in this build. I haven't been able to see anything on this so far looking through the guide and we do have 1 open socket available in the 2nd weapon/shield.

Currently I am using Flame Dash but was curious if you had any other recommendations for mobility skills or if you plan on including them in the build?

Thanks!

Hey Thewolf8691!

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it! I don't use movement skills because they make me nauseous (concussion stuff). So I won't ever include them in my builds. But I aim to make all my guides as customizable as possible so that people can play them the way that THEY want to. They being said, I do use Cyclone which is a movement skill. But I intentionally keep my movement speed low so that I don't get nauseous using it.

Flame Dash is a great skill for this build. It's secondary aspects work nicely with this build. As a spell though it doesn't initiate Fortify. You could easily replace Cyclone with a different movement skill if you like too. But basically, the best movement skills are the ones that you prefer. Survivability is so much easier when escaping is natural.

I hope that answers your question. Let me know if it doesn't. (It looks like I'm getting rid of EE for 3.10 for this build. If that stays true, then Consecrated Ground would work well as well.)

Thanks for the quick reply. It makes sense with your situation not using a mobility skill. I definitely plan on keeping cyclone for the fortify procs as well as keeping up EE. Just to point out though that in your build we have 1 extra socket in our offhand slot so that there is no need to replace cyclone as a movement skill. You can add flame dash or any other mobility skill to the offhand with purity of fire and malevolence for a free mobility skill that can traverse ledges etc for faster content or even more faster clears of maps.

Again understand your need for slower builds but may I suggest adding something to the gems part of the guide pointing out an extra socket that can be used for this purpose.

Thanks again.

I like and appreciate that!

That's the reason why I'm trying out this build and variations of it. I'm considering using it as a league starter in a week.
However I need to know that there are both easy ways, more challenging ways, and finally min/max scaling abilities for the build. Which there are. A lot! Anything I write here are just me throwing off suggestions hoping to get some feedback/critique :)

That said. This is my "final" build. It should be quite easy to be at around this state give or take within some days of playing.

6L could be either Tabula or any cheap chest which hit the trade.
Swap between Increased AoE for clearing and Concentrated effect for bossing.
Shield charge/Leap Slam for moving and proc Fortify
Wave of Conviction + Purifying Flame + Combustion for debuff
Lightning Golem for proccing EE (with Malachai's Artifice ring) - that way you can hit monsters with fire and not mess up the EE. Great against Hexproof monsters until one gets a lvl 5 Awakened Curse on hit, something which won't happen the first couple of days :-)

That tree can easily be skewed towards more defensive stats or offensive stats depending on what gear/jewels one get hold of.

Only tested as high as rare T12 twinned maps at the moment. Haven't got anything else on Standard. Will trade for some high tier maps tomorrow and try some more.

PS.
A nice bonus by logging into Standard again... On the character I was testing this Chieftain build I had 3 Item Qty gems being leveled in the weapon swap slot =)

Really enjoying this build - finally at level 85 and crushing mid tier maps largely deathless (save for the occasional 1-shot/cheap shot).

I'm fine with the 5L I have running the boiler-plate gem links as noted in the main build.

Question - can I do a 6L and add in increased area skill ON TOP of the concentrated effect (I have a normal drop ready to be crafted)? Or will those two cause a conflict and cancel each other out in practical application? I didn't feel like doing the swift affliction/arcane version suggested as an alternative (don't see the need).

Failing that but still having the 5th blue link was just going to put item rarity support in there for the hell of it.

Thanx!

I may. It's not a bad idea to point out the free slot. Good call. Thanks for the posts!
