" That sounds very exciting! I think I'll give it a try. After all, it#s just a couple of gems I'd have to change and one skill point. Thank you very much for taking your time! " That's a level 91 tree. Would it be wise to make a level 70 tree so you can hold on to 20 points for cluster jewels? |

"Good question cp2664. I've been thinking lots about it. I won't know for sure until I've actually posted the guides..but here's what I'm thinking: I don't know the drop rates of the jewels that create new tree branches. It's also currently only in league. I'm sure it'll go core, but for now, it's only league. BUT the biggest thing to consider is that we don't choose what drops. The jewels will be based on drops like other items. So with all the being considered, I think my best bet is to keep making trees to level 90-ish. I'll have some paths of each of my trees that travel along the outside so they can take advantage of the jewels if some drop that the player likes. If a jewel drops that someone wants to use, then they can decide if they are going to take away from the offence or defence that they have already allocated on the tree. I'd like my guides to be able to clear the atlas without requiring certain items, including jewels. But I don't want to take away from it. But I don't think my builds will be able to clear the atlas at level 75 and hope that people get great jewels that perfectly match their build(s). So, what I'm thinking is that I'll keep making the tree to 90-ish and I'll make sure that only a few of the clusters on the default tree are "required" for the build. That way people will have the flexibility to re-work the tree based on the type of jewel(s) that drop for them (offence or defence). I'll likely include a small explanation about that as well so people still know the guide is viable for 3.10. Awesome question. Any thoughts? https://www.ForeverExiled.com/: Forever Exiled, A Path of Exile Podcast

That makes sense. I am under the impression that the cluster jewels will be quite common. Also, you can craft them to be the nodes that you want.
If it's not too much trouble do you think you could make a tree that is level 70? |

I've been playing a ("permanent") Vaal RF build for Metamorph, but thought I would check out a build which could just chill with RF. Tried out this build on standard right now. Excellent guide by the way.
What I experience is a lack of damage. I've now spent some time in PoB. I still can't fully grasp this build :) How do you handle Sirus (any level), Uber Elder and/or any T16 bosses? From PoB I get about 220k Shaper dps for this build. That's very low. I would hazard to guess almost impossible to do(?) Or else must require both patience and very skillful play. Vaal RF character - this one does a bit above 3 mill Shaper dps. Even that is a bit low since recharging VRF at bosses is tedious. So if not 1-shot boss one must go to Incinerate with only 105K Shaper dps. Upside is that the build is unkillable. You can facetank about anything (34K energy shield, immune to chaos, and recharges up to 11k ES each second). --== Enjoying the game ==--

"That's a good idea. What I like to do is provide people with a tree that can take them through the game. Some people just follow guides word for word. So, to accommodate your request, what I'd likely do would be to list which nodes or game mechanics are "required" for the build to function. Everyone has a different way/preference to play each build. So letting a few thousand people choose which nodes are easily replaceable, and which nodes must made up for, would make the most sense to me. It's a good idea. I'll likely do something about it for 3.10. https://www.ForeverExiled.com/: Forever Exiled, A Path of Exile Podcast

"Hey Twiiik! Thanks for the kind words! Ya, this build is a few leagues old now. I update it every league, but I had no clue what the new bosses would be like prior to 3.9. So now that I've played the crap out of 3.9 and the new content, I've made some changes for 3.10. I checked out your character and you've made some of the changes that I plan on implementing! We'll see what the patch notes bring. I really like what you've done! Awesome gear too. Good job! What did you think of your final product? If you use PoB, here are the changes I'm thinking of adding: https://pastebin.com/Z1vSzDLr (I'm not 100% on the tree yet.) Thanks again for the kind words and the great feedback. And great job again on your character! https://www.ForeverExiled.com/: Forever Exiled, A Path of Exile Podcast
