3.9|Stress-Free PoE- ENDURING FIRE (RF) |SSF the Atlas w/ 1Button & Any Gear|Dungeon Crawl PoE!

hm turn out, there is no good 6 linked supporting cast for RF, without sacrificing increased are of effect, as described bu OP.

And that means - you armor may be as well as 5-linked.(Using tabula at leveling right now)

Yep! thanks WOD - finally getting in the swing of things after the 2nd lab.

Noob question, and I searched the post - may have missed it, but how do you check the damage that RF is doing in the character screen? I crafted some different scepters/maces with helpful mods but I can't tell which would be more effective when RF is running - it doesn't show me any stats.
Awesome Rex_Urhole! Good job! I'm glad it's smoothing out.

You're didn't miss anything. The character screen sucks for many skills. it's one of the many things that PoE 2 will dramatically improve. The ToolTip (character screen) doesn't show minion damage, DoT damage, Curse strength...it's weak unless you're an attack build. Even then it's marginally helpful.

You have to upload your character into a 3rd party tool to get the damage stats. Even then, no 3rd party tool is perfect.

PoE 2 can't come soon enough ;).

Well that's disappointing - how are we supposed to determine the best items in game to support RF???? thanx GGG

Could you clarify the hierarchy or priority of the RF benefit mods on weapons for me? Are they all equal? Is it simply a factor of the highest % for any is the better choice, or are there some are more synergistic for RF?

Weapon Mods:
RF benefits from:
- Increased Elemental Damage
- Increased Fire Damage
- Increases to Damage
- Increases to Area Damage
- Burning Damage
- Damage Over Time
- Fire Damage Over Time Multiplier
- "More" of any of the above. In PoE, the term "More" is much stronger than "Increased". So choose "More" over "Increased" when you can.

Thanks WOD!

Yeah was lucky to get that life roll for sure! I took off my Kaoms and tried the other chest out and it worked real nice keeping those charges up. Think I will go back to a 5 link RF for a while if I can get the right color sockets and see how it goes with the Sirius fight. Sirius was easy while using Kaoms so I will go and see if I can do it with this chest. As always thanks for your time and your builds!!
Listen to you Quicksilver112 talking all "Sirius was easy". Good for you! I'm curious how the chest works out as well. And as always, thanks for your thanks. You're always great. :)

I must have missed something or doing something wrong, it takes so long time to kill even T5 map bosses. I know im only lvl 77 and have two more labs to finish but that can hardly make me that much stronger dps wise?
Hey HavskattenWAOW!

I went to check out your character and I couldn't see a Chieftain. Did you delete it or is it on a different account?

I know I’m overthinking this (especially since this is only looking at maybe the first third(?) of the game), but would this work for a leveling path aiming for Enduring Fire?

Gems listed in purple are filler until everything slots into place:
  • Spell Totem support allows me to use Righteous Fire early on (in a limited fashion)
  • Orb of Storms is just to get used to having a Lightning spell
  • Ethereal Knives forces me to pay attention to Dexterity requirements for when I’m ready for Cyclone
  • Vitality is just extra regeneration until everything else slots into place
  • Frostblink I see more as a retreat skill than a travel skill

The basic idea was to keep things consistent through the leveling process and to minimize shifting gems, sockets, and colors around. And everything is aimed at minimizing using Fire skills. I can easily test out whether I’m ready or not by unslotting Spell Totem Support and seeing if I burn to (almost) death.

[And yes, this is for SSF, which is why the cool items are listed as “to look for” rather than “buy”]
Dang c3rement!

That is a sexy spreadsheet! It looks perfect! Just keep in mind when you take Elemental Equilibrium. Once that node is taken, you want to be sure you're hitting more frequently with Lightning than with Fire.

The thing about PoE is that you can never overthink it ;). I think your idea is perfect. I love the process. Vitality and the Spell Totem are really smart too. All of it is. Great job! (Can you tell that any kind of spreasheet gets me going ;)?)

Let us know how it goes! Great post!

"The Three Dragons" unique helmet -- i'm using at leveling mostly for resistances but.... description there - does it have any effect on RF ?
Great question ruubel!

Three Dragons shouldn't work with this RF specifically. Shock, Chill, and Ignite are caused by Hits. DOTs don't Hit. That being said, other spells that are auto-cast do Hit. What I don't know is if Wave of Conviction will still give the Fire Exposure or if it'll only do Lightning. Sorry, I'm not sure on the last one there, but regarding RF it doesn't directly change anything.

Let us know how it goes though! It'd be awesome to be able to shock with this build and not really have any consequence to it!

Hey ruubel!

One thing you could do, (if you're your Ball Lightning is casting tons, or if you have Added Lightning to Attacks as a mod somewhere) is to replace Added Lightning Damage Support with Inspiration Support. Then add Inspiration Support as the 6th gem for RF. The damage bonus from Inspiration Charges counts towards all skills that have Inspiration Support linked to it.

Just something to consider if you get a sweet 6 link later on.

Good question Rex_Urhole. I'll be expanding that in 3.10's guide. Here:

The strongest mod by far is:
- Fire Damage Over Time Multiplier

The rest are equals:
- Increased Elemental Damage
- Increased Fire Damage
- Increases to Damage
- Increases to Area Damage
- Burning Damage
- Damage Over Time

So 50% increased Elemental Damage and 50% Increased Area Damage are the same thing as 100% Increased Fire Damage.

But that Fire Damage Over Time Multiplier is MUCH stronger than the rest. Prioritize that if you can.

Good question.

its definitely worth of adding to gem link section, one option especially when you are on SSF is - to add "item rarity" gem to 6-link armor.

No worries. 6-linked loreweave is waiting for me. Its perfect for this build - adds max res limit, ele dmg and life and attributes.
