Good question. To me, those kind of things are always personal preference. Mine would be Resolute Technique (so Cyclone always hits), Conduit (to be a good friend), or Breath of Flames (for damage).

Is kaom's way ring good for this build?
I was lucky and had both the kaom's sign ring as a drop and the prophecy from Navali.

Hello, I always wanted to try out a RF build. However I'm having serious troubles at leveling through the story. I am going south on the tree as stated in the guide and going for molten strike linked with elemental damage with attacks and ancestral call. However I take almost forever to kill anything that isn't a white monster. Any tips on how to make leveling faster or how to ramp my dmg at this early stage? thanks.

You got the prophecy! Awesome! Ya. That's PERFECT for this build. Do it :). Kao's sign isn't as valuable as a good rare ring but Kaom's Way is amazing. Nice find!

Hey berfomet,

I don't really have any suggestions that you're not already doing. Sorry. The problem (until you're using RF) is that none of our passive nodes help our melee damage. Though, I didn't really find that setup that you're describing slow at all. So maybe your melee weapon needs improving? Melee skills are REALLY dependant on the weapons you're using. Much more than spells or minions are. If you're dual-wielding, your weapons will take turns hitting. Because Molten Strike is fire conversion, focus on physical damage, ignore elemental perks on weapons. You'll get way more out of the skill.

I just looked at your character level. As soon as you've done the first ascendancy, you'll be able to run not sustain RF. So it's lots of fun to do early if your up for staying on top of your flasks (and the occasional death. It's WAY faster. But the first ascendancy needs to be done for that fun.

Hi! Thanks for the response. I actually started reading the other coments and saw that you also sugested purifying flame. Once I switched to purifying flame + combustion + added fire damage with 2 sceptres, I started to steamroll through the content. I might attempt to do the lab after act 4 since, although the damage output to bosses is way, way higher than with molten strike, I don't think I'll have an easy time vs izaro.

Don't worry, every boss up to the end of act 4 is a joke.
They cant hurt you.
Yes it takes forever to kill em but I was rarely in need to click my life flask.

Izaro at 36 was much easier than some metamorph bosses.

Tip: use holy flame totem when at bosses. Fair amount of damage and huge regen.


At 45 I managed to sustain RF (with life flasks of course)

Now at 51 I sustain RF without the use of flasks.
Xp is much easier (even though its only 4 linked RF)and my main concern is to find gear with good stats and proper links.
Still using holy flame totem when fighting bosses or big packs.

I've been wanting to try a RF guild and yours seems fairly in depth, however I don't play with the same physical limitations that you do (sorry to hear about it).

I was wondering, would this build function with a high mobility skill like consecrated strike? Or any of the other speed skills? Or would I be better off finding a different RF build?

I've been curious about making a RF build that had mobility for some time and am trying to find a good launching point for it. Since yours seems to be the most flexible I figured I'd ask!

I'm glad you're moving along at a pace that is more to your liking!

You'll have survivability for your trial no problem. So just be patient in the battle. That first big node for Chieftain is AMAZING! (Well, they all are.)

Though I've been reluctant to put a levelling section in my guides. There have been some comments across my threads the past couple leagues that am making me consider it...for a couple of guides anyway. Your posts are one of them. We'll see. Thanks for your patience. I'm glad you got it figured out.
