back on the topic of selecting your sex though the suggestion to just unlock all the characters like you said has been mentioned before and at the basest level if we are never going to get alternate sex options for the base characters i'd say well... F it go for it.

It would literally make character pure visual with zero impact for gameplay.

Cmon dude i more than welcome people speaking out against this so long as they try to do so in a remotely respectful manner because i agree with quite a few of the posts against this topic but what i am agreeing with is their reasoning behind why.

Care to provide your personal feelings on the topic as to why you don't think it should happen? It would go a lot farther than what you said above and believe it or not i think details like that are important to this discussion even if in the end they are AGAINST the topics goal.

This thread was made because of my personal experiences over many years of mmorpg and similar multiplayer game types, Disagree with me if you want but my intentions at the very least are well meaning i hope you can see that.

Anyway i hope you do share your thoughts in more detail and if only for a moment consider just maybe if added this could indeed benefit the game in the long run even if the effects of it may not be immediately visible with changes such as reigning in power creep etc.

A forum thread (read: echo chamber) is 100% worthless when we already have the official answer from the source.

Literally everyone speaking either for OR against the OP is wasting their time and keystrokes, because they're weighing in on hypotheticals when we already have the hard facts.

So that's why I'm disappointed. This thread is a perfect encapsulation of the thing I am most disgusted by in the entire world: people thinking that their feelings matter in the face of objective reality.

Chris literally said that they CAN make them not that they ARE making them.

Then he went on to say that they PROBABLY will sell them, This is not a confirmation that they will and only further strengthens my resolve to push this topic forward and put my foot down saying (no that's a bad move, don't do it chris)

And I'll stand by that indefinitely.. The base option for selecting either gender being available to all would be great for the game but making it a pay only option would be the first time in my gaming history i have seen a company do such a thing and i would not be the only person to look upon GGG with absolute disgust for making such a decision that is so clearly disconnected from reality.

So yeah i'd rather they never touch it at all versus them adding it in as a payed alternative, I like GGG and the game they have kept fun for me and so many others for years now but no one is too big to fail and just because the guy at the top might think its a good idea does not mean it is or that he wont change his mind in the end.

ability to play male and female versions of any class should be a basic option in any rpg game. period.
