I'm trying to finish up 36/40 but still dying a lot to the bosses. I've reached 7.4k ES but looking into increasing this by dropping my Mark Of The Shaper ring and picking up ES on both rings (Elder rings with ES are $$$). Any other suggestions for gear upgrades?

Your boots have very little as well.

Thanks for pointing this out. These boots actually dropped for me and fit the build (one of the few drops that actually work with my build). I was able to add "Increased Energy Shield" from the crafting bench. I'm new to crafting and would like to remove the "Life" modifier and add "Maximum Energy Shield" but don't want to risk losing the resistances because they are needed for my resistance cap.

I've been doing T4 seeds and still don't see any crafts that I can use without risk of bricking the item for my build. Is it best to just try to craft/buy new boots rather than modifying my current boots and risk bricking them?

Remove life is a pretty common craft from the yellow seeds. That will open up the ability to aug defense from blue seeds to add ES.

These are all T1 seed crafts btw

So far, I've only seen remove and re-add random Life with yellow seeds but I searched and Remove Life is an option so maybe it's just bad RNG. Thanks!
Hi,

I'm playing this build in Harvest as my first chara got Shavs on first month, and I actually I never play a miner build. Now I got stuck on my progress where I find it difficult on A4 conquerors, even Delirium, Breach, and some Harbinger content I find it hard on 4 stones area. So far I only got 5.8k ES with these.

I have 2 ex on my stash thanks to I don't need to buy Shavs. However, I'm unsure what should I improve at this points. I can use my ex to 6 link, but I may become a glass cannon. Is it better if I use my ex to buy better rings instead?

Also, what is the general rule to play as miner? I always have a difficulty in any area when the enemy are hidden and suddenly come many. And when I tried to prepare mines, I have to run away in the middle of preparation.

The best advice that I could give is:

a) keep moving -- enemies fire projectiles at where you are, so if you keep moving then those will generally miss

b) remember the strengths of mines; you can fire around corners, clear rooms without entering them, throw mines ahead of you and detonate them as you walk to create a rolling stream of death ahead of you, and you can also pre-lay mines before opening chests/essence monsters

c) in the case of ball lightning, you don't really need to aim -- the balls more or less auto-target things

d) try to remember that you don't actually have to face the enemy to hurt him; you can drop your mines in front of you and they'll fly backward through you and into whatever is chasing you

Few things you are missing:

First, any curse that grants minus res is worthless on end game bosses, or near enough worthless that it should never warrant a slot.

Second, while mapping, nearly every mob you come across is overcapped on their res - that means your -res is doing nothing.

Let’s say, for example, the map has + res on it, or the rare has an aura, or the boss has the ‘resists elemental’ tag (these are super common) - they will generally have 140+ all res. Assuming you are applying less than -65 res to them, that stat line is doing nothing for you as you are bringing them from 140, down to a number above 75% which is also the cap for mobs.

Pen however functions differently. It ignores resists over the cap and directly lowers resists from 75% no matter how high they are. The mob could have 200 all res and your 30 pen will always reduce the resists, or effective resists in this case, to 45. That’s a massive boon to dps.

Long story short, if you are doing an elemental build that deals exclusively one type of damage, or mostly one type of damage, awakened pen should be in your links. Also, any source of -res that isn’t “free” should be dropped. You shouldn’t be giving up gear slots, or aura slots, or passive points for it (in most cases - cluster jewels I would say are the exception to this)

“Free” would be defined as - a prefix/suffix roll that you aren’t giving up another damage roll for. A corruption implicit, trigger socketed spell, curse on hit with a secondary skill etc.

This was actually really intresting, thank you for the breakdown.
Yo guys. What's the recommended unreserved mana after all auras including aspect of the spider? I have 288. Is it enough?

Do you have enough mana to throw out all of your mines (should be 19) and then do a flame dash? If so, you're doing OK.

One ring has no ES and your helm might as well have no ES. Those are costing you a lot of ehp. By that point in progression you should have at least 7-8k ES.
What should i upgrade next to improve the build much more?.
