[3.13] HC/SC/SSF All Content Miner - Any Mine Skill - LL/CI - 12k ES w/ Videos!
I've just started this league and I'm trying this build for my alt and I've got a question. I don't understand how ES builds like these are viable. I don't see much damage mitigation tools for the character. How does our character survive to big damage? I don't see any armor or evasion, just ES with little reductions coming from passives and ascendancy.
I think I'm finally done gearing this character, and subsequently will quit the league once I reach 40 challenges. I can't think of any other reasonable upgrades without spending 100ex+ per piece of gear. I will, however, 28% quality my gloves and get the 1% movement speed implicits on the jewels. Enchanting my belt is out of question simply because I hate lab, and none of the enchants look particularly enticing.
I have crafted every rare listed below, but bought the uniques with their corruptions off the market.

The reasoning behind taking dexterity and strength stat lines on jewels is because I couldn't fit attributes without sacrificing more ES/dps from the tree. Additionally, I heavily dislike flame dash, so I chose to run dash, which requires the extra dexterity. The same reasoning is applied to using attribute catalysts on the Presence of Chayula.
My ES is currently 9,058.
According to PoB, DPS is 856,731 per mine with 23 mines placed. With Vaal RF, it goes up to 1,074,674.2 per mine.
Holy cow those rare items, if you could help out a noob like me on how you crafted those, that would be great!
What will happen if I use remove lightning mod/add lightning mod if item dont have any lightning modifier on it? Will just 1 be added or nothing happen or something random will be removed?
Nothing happens, it won't work without a lightning mod on there initially.

Hi, I recently faced an issue with the CWDT set-up.
The CWDT doesn't work no matter what in my actual wand. I tried level 1 and 9 CWDT gems, level 1 (0% and 20% quality) and 6 Immortal Call gems and level 1 Steelskin gem.
Did I miss something ? It seems the +1 to level of all spell gems mod is the cause. I tried with normal wand and it worked perfectly fine.
Born in the shadows is better early. Pretty much you always want to to use light pen as your 6th link until you have crazy gear with a double pen watchers eye. Then you can switch to some added light.
Thank you for the quick reply, I appreciate it! Out of curiosity, for leveling, should I use those gems as they become available or is it better to stick with the earlier game gems like added cold/added lightning?
And for leveling ball lightning, do you prefer high impact or chain?

I just realised BeerLeague made an mistake and put CWDT in Trigger wand. Gems can only be "supported" by one trigger at a time so your wand cycle between wave and immortal call and CWDT does not work at all in this wand.
Thats why it worked fine on your "normal" wand, + to gems have nothing to do with it.

Would like to know about other rares too, maybe put every slot in spoiler if you dont mind explaining? I think alot of people are interested in crafting their own rares but are not sure how to start.

In my experience, as a scrub:
- Tons of ES leech/regen/recharge
- Don't get hit by anything that does 10K damage in a single hit
Ele resists are still fine and it's easy to pick up small amounts of evade/dodge/DR plus the DR you mentioned from passives, ascendancies (blind), enfeeble curse. BL mines make it pretty easy to be a long way from enemies if you need to be for the big hitters, but with the leech and regen on this build you mostly just sprint through things and out-leech the damage.
