I might check it out, gotta see some reviews tomorrow to see if its worth my money and time.

Yep it should have been obvious. Just read too quickly over all the words.

the games he mentioned woke alot of good memories, we both went exactly the same path.
it's a damn long time ago though...

It is always matter of time till we can figure out if the game lives out the expectations.

This means not the first (hype) week after release but likely the next 2-3 months post release, where we can see a rough estimate how the direction of the development goes.

I started playing it a couple of days ago and find it pretty interesting. As a new game it doesn't have the richness and breadth of scale that we have in POE, but it is graphically beautiful and fun to play. Lots of things are familiar, but lots of things are new and will take some work to understand. It would be easy to be petty and picky about small things that GGG does better, but there is no reason to be. One very noticeable difference is that I can see all the action. Screen clutter is (for my level 10 ax wielder) minimal. I like that a lot.

I am excited about the new content coming on the 13th and will give all three of its Acts to see if it feels good enough to keep going. So far, yes.

You should. I don't know if the current $30 price tag will change on Thursday or if my pre-release buy gets me the new material for free, or if I will need to pony up for more to get the new content.
