Ranged blight monsters are very dangerous
Yeah trying to do blighted maps is almost impossible unless you got 800% fire resist at least for me those are the ones that kill me almost every time.

Their AI is buged. If you play w/o any minion they will all spawn at once and shoot at once in your direction even if you are not standing on their lane.
If you play a minion build they never spawn together, they never shoot together and never shoot you even if you are in a lane. "There's no thing like random one-shots in this game. You only die because you take 353,456,237 hits in 0.2 seconds."

"I wouldn't say they *never* shoot you, but my summoner has never died from them so not getting a ton of simultaneous fireballs in the face definitely helps. |

It's not, it's the fact that you have other targets than yourself for the monsters and that monsters intercept projectiles for you.
You have zombies with feeding frenzy, they just go melee, of course projectiles don't reach you ... I've been playing golems this league, and I know how monsters fire projectiles, it's also very easy to see there The projectiles start flying directly to his face and his minions (+ the cage) just tank it, it's as simple as that. And if you're minion are closer to the mob, they are also likely to get the agro of the mob so the mobs don't all focus your face. They AI is the same, they have just many more targets. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Blighted maps are done best with at least a party of two.
A good combination is a summoner who defends the pump area and does some coordination and a tanky melee build who takes care of the bosses and far away towers. |

Maybe that's what the rest of us are doing wrong: we're just not streamer-level zoom zoom and we stand around like idiots letting 20 stacked projectiles hit us. /shrug Would still love to see that character actually tanking a group of stacked blighted fireballs. Or maybe the fireballs have a physical component and your armor helps mitigate...who knows. Though I'm more inclined to believe you just dodge them all with your zoom zoom. |
