3.8| Stress Free PoE - HOLY RF |Clear the Atlas with YOUR Items at YOUR Pace (SSF & Co-op)

My Builds Going Forward (PoE 2 & Onwards...)
So ExileCon made some HUGE announcements! I'm really really really excited for them to come to fruition. That being said, character building will be completely different and as a result, existing guides/builds will be changing dramatically.

Now I love theory crafting. I would LOVE to have a build/guide for each of the current 19 ascendancy classes. Ideas are always rolling through my head (as I'm sure they are for you too ;).) With PoE adding an ADDITIONAL 19 ascendancies, I obviously have to pick and choose...38 ASCENDANCIES!!! I restrict myself to a maximum of 6 guides for the amount of personal time it takes to keep them updated and to be active in their threads. So I'll have to continue with the current strategy that I have when picking guides which is, "pick an idea or mechanic of the game that I really like, and build around it." Unfortunately, the number of things I'd like to write a guide on is much greater than 6. So I try to mix and match my preferences within one build while making it efficient, fun to play, that can be played with any rare items, something that doesn't require finicky aiming on PC, and something that can accommodate my long list of medical restrictions.

So with 38 ascendancies, there will obviously be a ton of options. Currently, there's one Necromancer...maybe there will be more. Currently, Occultist is perfect for CI, maybe more will be added. I'd love to keep all of my guides with their current base classes but if one of the new ascendancies matches more what I enjoy, I may end up changing to it. I want all my guides to be the same league in, league out. So IF I make any class changes, it's with the intent of the change being permanent.

So, here's a list of things I really like in PoE and that I'll hopefully be able to incorporate into 6 guides (I currently can't):

- A legion of minions that stay summoned and kill everything for me.
- A max Block character
- A max Dodge Character
- A bow character
- A totem character
- A CI character
- An RF character (if there was ever a Cold RF skill I'd choose that)
- I LOVE Phasing
- I love killing my minions
- A character that buffs allies (I know it's hard without uniques)
- Having a Scion would be cool
- I love lots of charges
- I LOOOOOVE slowing Enemies
- I love Shield skills

So anyway, the point of all this is, I don't know what PoE 2 will bring but I'll be doing my best not to change any ascendancies...but I will if it helps me get everything I love about the game into 6 builds/guides.

Thanks for your time and support. You're all fantastic. :)

Hi,
first of all thank you for your work!

Can you please explain how the endurance charge generation works? Becaus cyclone is no fire attack. And i just get charges from summoning the totem.

Hey machettie86! You bet! And thanks for the thanks! It's my pleasure.

With this build, Endurance charges are gained 3 ways:

1) Tawhoa (ascendancy node) gives us a 35% chance to gain an Endurance Charge when we use a fire skill. That is Holy Flame Totem, Wave of Conviction, and Purifying Flame. I'm not sure if Flammability would count. I assume it does, but it's an optional part of the build. Spells cast from Cast when Damage Taken DO COUNT as us "casting" or "using" fire skills.

2) Inexorable on the tree gives us a 10% chance to gain an Endurance Charge when we're hit.

3) Discipline of Unyielding on the tree gives us a 5% chance on kill to gain an Endurance Charge.

Does that help? I wouldn't worry about losing them. We get bonus damage for a bit based if we lose our charges and we get them back fast enough too.

Let me know if you have any other questions or if this didn't help.

Came across this build guide, and it looks really interesting. I'm a little confused though about sustaining RF. Just looking at PoB, it looks like your total degen is 819, and regen is only 622.

Edit: I see now I was looking at net regen as total, makes much more sense now.

Hey brndl15,

Good question. And I see you figured it out! Good timing on the edit :). If you have any other questions let me know.

It's me again with yet another question.

The unique boots Sunspite do not seem to work with Righteous Fire. Although the marauder is ignited 100 % of the time, he doesn't get the benefit from the boots, the life regenerated per second. Is this a bug or is this intended as it is?
Overwhelmed by Path of Exile? You might want to have a look at Wrecker_of_Days' beginner-friendly guides. One-click-wonders that do not require any specific items to conquer the campaign and the Atlas: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2606288/page/1

Yes they are working properly.

RF does not ignite you it burns you only.
RF basically skips the ignite phase and goes straight to burning.

Edit: We are not ignited 100% of the time, we are burning 100% of the time.

Edit 2: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Ignite
Here is the wiki for Ignite, Righteous Fire is not on the skill list.

Good Day folks

Just started this build on the weekend.

I did so as I got a 23% Purity of Fire drop and I am playing Wreckers Slo-mo Zombies, so I figured I would try his Holy RF build.

Question I have is I am only level 34 and having trouble sustaining the RF right now.

Am I to early to use this skill.

I was thinking of running Vitality aura over Malevolence for now until I can support the regen without Vitality.

I was also thinking of linking life leech to Cyclone to again help out with the regen for RF at this low level.

I did my first Ascendancy already did it at level 30 boy was that ruff. Just took time with Molten Strike. Isaro could not hurt me but I was doing little damage to him. So the fight just took forever to do.

Cheers!

Hey Caligula_Exile,

x Peleus x is correct. Ignite only comes from Hits or from some kind of unique item that Ignites us. This small section for Elemental Focus Support explains it a bit.
Spoiler
-Elemental Focus Support - Greatly increases damage at the cost of not being able to put an ailment on an enemy. This seems like it would negate RF...but RF doesn't inflict an Ailment. It skips the ailment and jumps straight to the effect, burning. Typically, if you were to throw, let's say a Fireball, at an enemy, it would have a chance to Ignite. If the enemy Ignites, they start to burn. So if you had this support with Fireball, you'd never burn an enemy. You'd only hit them with fire damage. RF simply burns enemies. It doesn't have a chance to ignite. It skips the "chance to ignite" mechanic and just burns (damage over time). So this is a damage boost with no consequence.

Hey x Peleus x,

Ya, RF is hard to sustain right away. I've included a snippet from the guide that talks about sustaining RF as soon as possible without needing items. So any additions, like you're doing, will help you sustain RF sooner. The sucky thing about levelling an RF build is its unavailability early on. It's a hard knock life for RF lovers ;).

Trying to Sustain RF as Early as Possible
In case you didn't notice, RF can't be sustained right away. Without life regen focused uniques, RF can typically be sustained after you've completed the story and are into mapping. To sustain it as soon as possible without needing any gear (except links), try the following:

- Select all the nodes on the Passive Tree as they come. Get all the South nodes first, then work your way up. Don't skip any. (The Life Regen per Endurance Charge nodes are the MOST important.)
- Equip and start levelling your Stone Golem as soon as it's available.
- Equip and start levelling your Purity of Fire as soon as it's available.
- Equip and start levelling your Holy Relic as soon as it's available.
- Use the multiple methods the build uses to create, then fight on, Consecrated Ground.
- By the time you kill Arakaali (the Spider Boss in Act 7) you can select the Pantheon option that unlocks (Soul of Arakaali). Have that and the minor God, Soul of Abberath selected.
- Do the first 3 suggested Ascendancies.
- Get those Endurance charges up :).

You can sustain RF with gear in other ways of course, I just thought you'd like to know the soonest you can run RF no matter your gear.
