Path of Exile: Blight Gem Information
assassin turning to real assassin <3

" Elusive on its own only provides (at full strength i.e. when you first gain the buff, and decaying afterwards) 40% movement speed and 20% attack and spell dodge. Any other bonuses you get from those sources only apply when you're using those sources. The Assassin Mistwalker node gives further buffs while you're Elusive, but only if you've taken the node. Same with Withering Step and Nightblade i.e. you need to use those gems. There's only one instance of Elusive, but it gives additional bonuses if you happen to be using those additional things (the Nightblade bonus one will only apply for the skill that Nightblade is attached to). And keep in mind that Withering Step stops working as soon as you do something, so it's not simply a way to refresh Elusive, just to apply Wither and get some extra defense. The intention seems to be to make the assassin playstyle feel like an actual assassin i.e. get in quick (with a full strength Elusive) to quickly do a lot of damage, then get out when the buff degrades a lot and wait for your next opportunity, rinse and repeat. He's not meant to be a sustained tank, and Elusive seems designed to play against that. Last edited by Exile009#1139 on Sep 5, 2019, 2:08:04 AM

Not a single gem , from my previous league build , got changed. I guess i don't have to bother with finding a new build , since the build is very solid.

" It's not nerfed. First and second hit with Multistrike are buffed, and third is a bit nerfed. Overall it's a DPS buff. |

Cyclone - 2 mana cost

I tried doing some calculations on the Multistrike change:
(disregarding attack speed modifier and quality modifier, which aren't being changed) Pre-change, 20/20 gem, 30% less attack dmg modifier: 1st (non-repeat) hit does 100*0.7 = 70% dmg 2nd hit does 150*0.7 = 105% dmg. 3rd hit does 199*0.7 = 139.3% dmg. A total of 70+105+139.3 = 314.3% dmg. Post-change, 20/20 gem, 30% less modifier gone: 1st (non-repeat) hit does 100% dmg. 2nd hit does 122% dmg. 3rd hit does 144% dmg. A total of 100+122+144 = 366% dmg. 366/314.3 = 1.164492 or approx. a 16.45% buff. Also, I noticed the mana multiplier changed from 180% to 160%. All in all, a nice buff. At first, it looked like a nerf, but wasn't. Player numbers are plummeting. Last edited by SpectralDrake#1212 on Sep 5, 2019, 3:21:45 AM

nightblade support much stronger than old pre-nerf 160% multiplier gem ( increased critical multiplier gem )

" New gem still has 10% less, compared to 30% before. But if my calculations are correct, it's still a buff. |

150 added chaos damage + 120% base attack speed. Mkay, nice balance

" Ah damn, I completely missed it because it was 10% like what the quality modifier comes out to, and not at the bottom of the list like pre-change. Ok, new post-change calc: 1st (non-repeat) hit does 100*0.9 = 90% dmg. 2nd hit does 122*0.9 = 109.8% dmg. 3rd hit does 144*0.9 = 129.6% dmg. A total of 90+109.8+129.6 = 329.4% dmg. 329.4/314.3 = 1.04804 or approx. a 4.8% buff. Now it actually looks more like a "let's make this calculation easier to deal with in the future" change. Player numbers are plummeting.
