As a summoner main, I'm not liking the focus on improving them for Blight League

Welp, GGG's shared just about everything related to necro changes by finishing up with previewing the ascendancy. A new wand that can roll a mod that gives +1 to all minion gems, a belt that takes Flesh Binder's caustic ground and makes it universal for all minions, spectres got buffed to be allowed to reach level 90+, most of the skeleton and zombie passives were added to the gems, etc.

There's nothing much else to wait for except for the passive tree, patch notes, and any clarification GGG makes on reddit.

It seems like a huge improvement and the people saying otherwise are gonna look foolish in a week. But what do I know.

Oh I know it's a huge improvement. It doesn't mean I like it more, because of how badly it's going to get worked over 3 months from now. :P
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

Haha yes, I'm totally with you there. It's gonna be that same ridiculous GGG balance whiplash we've gotten so used to. Back in the day (2014-15) they were far more subtle about it. But Necros will get nerfed to shit and Heirophants or Raiders or whatever will be totally off the chain for 3 months.

It's a stupid way to design a game of this genre. Giving us all these choices but then herding everyone to just a few every 3 months, then the next set, then the next... If you gave away that playbook to new players they'd probably just leave, because what's the point of trying to do anything original in a game that falsely advertises diversity and originality?
