Thanks for a really great looking build, along with a detailed guide. Most likely will be my league starter in 3.8.
Winter's white blanket swaddles all.
Doing this right now as 3.8 league started, working great so far!

your passive tree: "With multimodded sword and brutal restraint"
has Iron Grip allocated but I don't think it adds any damage?

If you socket a brutal restraint under nasima near iron grip, you change it to true sight, which gives 25% more crit chance. This blinds you permanently, which screws up your chance to hit, so we use a multi modded sword to bypass the accuracy with hits cant be evaded

I cleared all the way to uber elder without using perforate, bladestorm itself is good enough, perforate just speeds things up to insta phase boss fights

I just wanted to say it's a great build. I can't remember the last time I was this happy with my league starter. It has just one mandatory unique and 0 int and dex requirement that you need to use jewellery for. The damage is definitely good even with bad stuff (although I got a lucky ex so I have a 6link Chest). Great stuff!

Can you tell me on what I should work on next? I'm not sure how to progress now. Im waiting for Dying Sun to be cheaper but apart from that I have all the mandatory stuff. Should I just save up to craft the sword or is there anything else?

I would start by trying to cap/go close to capping accuracy. Accuracy can make a huge difference in dps and we dont take any accuracy nodes on the tree

Just make sure you are always above 5k life, to handle red maps with ease and not get instantkilled, blight has some insane spike damage with projectile mobs. After all this you should be set to start saving for a sword

Is there a particular reason you go with swords?
Last league I played Cyclone with a Kitava axe. The axe had nice leech and it had the most physical damage of all weapons I could afford (meaning I will not pay hundreds of chaos for a weapon, I'm a more casual player).
So since I will probably never get the weapon you have in your build as it looks like it costs a fortune, is it still a good idea to spend points into sword skills? I'm kinda torn and now have like over 20 points to spend since I don't know what to do :/

btw, the "Impale" on Armor is written in read instead of green.

The 2 most common used base items for 2h sword/axe
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Exquisite_Blade
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Vaal_Axe

No doubt axes has higher base damage, swords are still preferred as we build crit, swords has pretty strong passives and an exquisite blade itself provides 60% crit multi

Going by POB, their dps would be pretty similar, but swords should be higher if you factor in brutal restraint and crit
