Thoughts on the build: it's great! It's fun to play, great damage with not that high of a budget (compared to most builds), really enjoyed it in this league so far. I'm probably gonna play with it a bit more to get more currency and fix some better gear. Still need to upgrade gems and get to lvl100.
That said, the charging on scourge arrow feels a bit slow sometimes, and totems eventually die before firing once, it's probably something on my end. Farming juiced t16s(harvest) or t17s proved a bit challenging(and not as fast as I hoped) since getting oneshot would eventually happen (probably cause I don't have Progenesis and blue altars can make things real hard). Bossing is pretty great, but I did stop at the pinnacle bosses, didn't give the Uber variants a try yet. This league for single target damage I have been swapping out Vicious Projectiles and Scourge Arrow for Greater Volley and Caustic Arrow of Poison. The damage is MUCH higher, so you could have a secondary bow or just change the gems around. Caustic Arrow of Poison is pretty bad for clear though so I much prefer this build for most of the content in the game.
I have also been using Taste of Hate with Divine Flesh so I don't need Fire or Lightning Resistance too. Sometimes ground degens get me, but there is a pantheon for Immune to Burning Ground. Thought it was a fun tech and let me free up the build and get some great reflected jewelry! The only content I have struggled on is rippy T17 mods and rippy mods with Giant Rogue Exiles. Overall I have had a great time and am considering a very early game Viper Strike(maybe Mamba) bossing build for next league with similar tech as you have here! |

theres not much talk of tattoos in the build--are they not worth? Was thinking specifically of the life recovery tattoos that replace dex

" Tattoos are still not core even though they rly look like they are so i did not made heavy use of them yet :d but yes, flask life recovery tattoos are easily bis, just tatoo as much asyou can with them. My builds:

Really enjoyable build. Here is my current attempt
https://pobb.in/6ja-YTlowqJ6 I'm still having a hard time meeting the numbers, mainly damage and effective HP wise (any tips? i have a decent amount of currency for upgrades) I'm a bit insecure also about leaving Doedre's Damning behind as i don't know how to compensate the lack of +1 curse. As a little collaboration for everyone here, getting a +2 projectiles Doppelganger and 6linking it with tainted orbs was really cheap for me, a couple of divines maybe. |

I'm trying this in standard and also found the damage not quite living up to what the pob link in the op would suggest. With ~20m uber dps we should be obliterating regular eater or exarch, but we just aren't. Looking at how the pob is configured it's clear there are some dps warrior tactics going on here.
Particularly, the soul eater stacks setting which in the pob provided is set to a max of 55. This more than doubles the full dps with it set to 0. The problem is Soul Ascension only allows you to gain 2 stacks per second. So it would take almost 30 seconds of you (not your totems) hitting a rare or unique enemy nonstop to reach 55 stacks. At the start of a fight you are significantly weaker with 0 stacks. I'm a little skeptical we reliably reach 15 wither stacks as well with just Nature's Reprisal and how fragile the totems are, but not sure how to test this. This is another dubious bonus to your dps. Set it to something like 7 and your damage plummets once again. It's still a fun build though and quite tanky. |
