Cyclone

Yes, having a 35% damage effectiveness x 2 hits on physical damage makes it worse than one hit for 70%. Unless the devs want to chime in and tell us that enemies have zero armor.

This skill is absolute crap for dual wield builds. It's sad, but we are still limited to cleave and dual strike. They are good skills, but it would have been nice to have another option. This skill has absolutely no bonus for dual wield characters.

The lack of damage could have still been salvaged if we had control of the character during the spin. Sure, it would be a 2 handed weapon ability that is less damage than ground slam, cleave, sweep, and leap slam. But, it could at least be used for slightly faster farming on very easy content. Like, when we run out of maps and need to farm docks/city of sarn.

For those intent on building a character for cyclone, I would suggest a CI 2 handed build. Cyclone makes you immune to stun, which is a problem for CI builds. Kripp's sweep templar comes to mind. Maybe the devs thought that was one of Kripp's weaker builds, so they would help him out with cyclone and the passive nodes behind CI.

That is exactly what I dislike the most about Cyclone atm. Physical damage is so low, I thought about going Cyclone + Melee Physical Damage + Concentrated Effect + Melee Damage on Full Life + CI to get the physical damage to a usefull value. I mean that would be 3 "more"-multipliers, yet with lvl 20 gems it will only be boosted to 1.49*1.49*1.69.0.35 ~= 1.31. This should be enough to get through the armour of enemies, however it is quite an investment and has very high mana costs. Elemental damage is way easier to use in that regard, the reduction by enemy resistances is always the same no matter how small or big a hit was.
Am I the only one who gets offhand dmg stated in the cyclone tooltip while using 2h weapon? And that offhand dmg is 4-6 just as it would be unarmed... Right now it seems like the 2nd hit for cyclone is not calculated properly with 2h weapons which leads to terribly low dmg.
I had to post on the dev's comment that I hadn't read at the time:

Do you not understand how damage effectiveness works? It's .35x2=.7 while a normal attack is simply 1, yet you think .7 > 1? Please get me a job at GGG, because obviously math knowledge is in short supply.

I hate to comment so negatively on a game I love and have supported. You did a great job on making what D3 should have been, but please don't say things like that to kill my faith in you.

Ok.. It seems like the tooltip is total mess atm.
With 2h weapon I get offhand dmg listed in the tooltip.
With 1h weapon and nothing in ofhand I also get offhand dmg.
With 1h and shield there is no offfhand dmg.
There is also no offhand dmg while being unarmed...

Now the question is: Is only the tooltip bugged or the whole skill?

But you can use a quicksilver flask for the effect to end quicker.
