So the increased AoE in Witch and Templar tree will benefit this skill greatly? Bit confused here

Can you please clarify how it scales with attack speed? is it like Leap Slam where the weapon speed does not matter only increases after the fact? Or will a faster weapon like swords benefit from Cyclone?

Ouch so Dual-wield claws/daggers still don't have a good aoe similar to how cleave hits with both weapons. Guess the cleave model was determined as too strong for dual-wield stuff and being phased out.
The +weapon range working with +aoe though is amazing and should be great fun. | |

This ability screams 1Hand / Shield to me. Sure 2hand may do more damage (as it should) but it wont be nearly as safe as 2hand ground slam.

Well this was disappointing ; no real incentive to use dual weild,specially dagger/claw and with the 35% effectiveness is either 2h physical or 1h+shield elemental in other words meele still blows

so conc. effect support gem works with this gem? Can anyone confirm this, can anyone just link the gem in this thread?

didnt want to take it out for posting, it works unarmed (finally an aoe for facebreakers) and i guess all aoe stuff like conc effect and icreased aoe works, the quality is 1% aoe increase per level and the level bonus is 4% phys dmg and 2%attackspeed per level as far as i remember Last edited by Chayne7 on Mar 12, 2013, 8:19:24 PM

The base aoe is determined by your melee range. A radius of 4 for 1h melee/dw, and a radius of 5 for 2h melee. You can get another +2 from the Duelist notable passive.
The AoE can be increased by normal means, and Concentrated Effect will work on it (and it works really well). At 35%DE, it hits twice times the normal attack, which is comparable to a 1h cleave. It alternates hands when you dual wield though, it does not use both at once. High aspd is definitely the way to go for Cyclone, since the mana cost doesn't increase with aspd like all the other attacks in the game. |
