I won't bother stating my skills and gear because it's totally unlinked to why this ability isn't usefull as it is.

for softcore users: makes picking up loot in parties way harder, you're locked into a direction until the timer is up 9/10 times.

for hardcore uusers: pure suicidal frenzy + same loot problem as softcore.

all in all this skill could've been left out of the game if its to stay the way it is now.




only needs one thing: free movement (while keeping the movement speed reduction and such)

then I guess it would be very viable and actually fun! my thoughts.



as it is now its a slap in the face to both leagues.


edit: I suggest taking a break on implementing movement related abilities and make desynch less of a problem first. that's what common-sense tells me anyways.

qft. all of this. Please make this skill decent and worth using or remove it and add a viable physical melee aoe skill. (esp for dagger/claw wielders and dual wield, LS is our only viable option.)


I have always avoided LS because by the time I tried it I was used to zipping around with WB and didn't like having to stand still.

Now that they make LoH scale with damage effectiveness I will give LS another try - strange that they seem to have done this to keep LA under control and prevent the new Cyclone from being over powered, but instead what it has done is make LS even better while Cyclone has turned out to be worthless.
Dex already has Whirling Blades.
Cyclone should become Str/dex or pure STR.

Try to kill someone with whirling blades.

Cyclone needs at least freedom of movement. With movement speed lowering. Or its just suicidal. And im still not sure about damage.

I can do it with about the same efficacy as Cyclone, with a tooltip DPS of about 1800 compared to cyclone's 3500. I also won't die doing it.

dont worry they will remove whirling blades becuz it sucks too bad. worst skill. no one uses it.
it is for ninja loot or something. and skill effect looks too bad.

I think WB is a good skill.
Found a bug that when you use cyclone and then use a tele, you can't use the tele.
You can see the tele port but nothing happens.

Also the -30% movement speed doesn't seem to adjust itself to any passive + movement speed equip that you may have.
Dont run into a pack with Lightning Thorns using this skill lol

This skill sucks in both PVE and PVP, even without desync, simply due to the forced movement. I suggest making it into a BUFF instead.

Cyclone (buff)
You spin, hitting nearby enemies every cycle. Any connected interrupting effects end this skill prematurely and cause you to be stunned. During the skill's effect, your movement speed is reduced, your default attack is disabled (forced movement if you try to default attack so the character can navigate around objects without accidentally attacking) and using any targetted skills will interrupt it. Self-cast skills including but not limited to enduring cry, molten shell, righteous fire, blood rage, auras, novas and cyclone itself still function normally.

Duration: 10s
Cost: no changes
Weapon damage efficiency: no changes
Movement speed: 70% less
Cycle speed: ASPD
Radius: caster's default attack range.
Per skill level: 1% more movement speed and 4% increased damage.
Per gem quality: 2% increased AOE.

A particular someone probably will make a righteous ice cyclone of molten rage build if this idea is accepted.
