Would just like to post that i just finished the game using this build...was fairly easy altho the final boss instagibbed me a fair few times (more so because i didnt know his mechanics than anything else)

Now onto mapping...which seems a daunting prospect haha
Great job and good luck! The Atlas is so fun!

I had a legion encounter that melted my zombies so I guess I'm putting minion life back in. I'm using consecrated path to apply enfeeble/fortify but the windup time on the skill is somewhat annoying. I'm running flame dash as a secondary movement skill.

I appreciate that you've left quite a few points open on the tree. I'm playing in a private league with friends and I've had to take the 2 30 dex nodes for now.

I didn't mention it in my last reply but I love the creativity of the build. I like shopping around on the builds to find fun things to play and it's rather sad to see just a flood of cyclone builds.
Thanks! You're very kind. I'm glad you like the openness of it.

Cyclone is probably always going to be really popular as Chaining with constant Movement is really attractive. I really like it too...but I hate being a cookie cutter.

If you have any suggestions for the guide/build, let me know.

@Wrecker_of_Days, I've been enjoying you builds for quite a long time now. (multiple leagues) And I wanted to say thank you and ask a question at the same time :-)

I only play HC-SSF and I never get past lvl 8ish maps, I always die because of bad playing or stacked damage like explosions or insane lighting strikes.

Because my reaction is quite slow (hence the love for your build) I was wondering if there was a way to make this great build able to survive this kind of thing?

PS, not playing Hardcore is not working for me since I can't focus and get bored very fast.
I've been playing mostly your build with some minor changes (I'm using shield charge for movement now, didn't go for the same passives to the right, little things) . I really like the build but was wondering why dual wield instead of going with a 2h 6-link for skeletons?

Hey cryptout,

That's awesome and thank you very much. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. I'm glad you enjoy them :).

I don't play HC so I'll give what advice I can and take what you like from it. I your best option HC wise would be to completely get rid of the melee links with Fortify and the curse. It might sound counter intuitive, but what I'd do instead of casting those is simply move, cast skeletons, move, cast skeletons. In HC I assume you'd be much more aware of your surroundings and Map Mods and so staying far away and throwing Skeleton Bombs would likely be safer than being defensive in the middle of combat.

So, that being said you could swap the Skeletons to the 5/6 link, run a 5/6 link weapon, or keep as is. If you keep things as is, you'd still have Fortify and Enfeeble if you wanted to. As a result you'd then find a +2 or 3 to Socketed Minion Gems mod on a helmet more powerful than a Bone Helmet that rolled a high implicit.

Let me know what you think and thanks again!

Hey Elsimer,

Thanks! I'm glad you're liking it and enjoying the changes you made!

I chose Dual Wielding for the obvious reasons, nothing fancy. Dual Wielding allows you to maintain the defensiveness of the current gem setup and shield stats. If you wanted two hand you'd have to blast back to my 3.5 guide ;). But obviously you know what you'd do if you wanted 2 handed. You'd only lose the perks of the Offering links. They're strong but you'd gain the offense. But that's it...just choosing defense over offense.

Good question.

Another great way of staying alive is by using Ghastly Abyss jewels, I one extra jewel slots on the tree and use jewels with minions % chance to taunt on hit and minions blind on hit. I don't play HC but those jewels work real well for me in standard. The minions taunt jewels work awesome on bosses by keeping the boss attention on our minions and not us.

Yes it can. Easily. Some map mods are going to be brutal combos but that's the nature of the game. This might be my favourite build to clear the atlas with.

If you check out my Zombie playlist, I did a T14 or 15 last night in between clearing out my Sulphite and re-allocating my Shaper Orbs. I got really annoying rolls on the map (but I like to tolerate rolls instead of be picky). But you can see how easily the map dies.

Thanks for the tips Wrecker_of_Days. I'll need to think about it, not jumping in to mobs but keeping distance makes sense of course. I might need to consider a ball lighting setup. I'll let you know if I come up with something.

Hi Quicksilver27025, I will look in to the Ghastly Abyss jewels but they might be hard to find in SSF. Thanks for pointing them out though!
