Here’s an early look at the Champion Ascendancy in Path of Exile: Legion!

I can't believe fortitude node isn't changed.

First, fortify support gem is buffed, so people can perhaps incorporate them into main skill 6 link. Or stick fortify into movement skill like the normal ways.

Then what, 4 points ascendancy node for playing a bow champion??? Unstoppable hero is meh too. Only stun immunity is valuable. Inspiration is terrible, and master of metal is also meh because impale is hardly supported in the passive tree.

And last of all, you're making adjustment to accuracy to evasion so that it's easier for people to stack accuracy now, indirectly making worthy foe nowhere as good as before.

Champion will sit in the last place along with Raider in 3.7.

No, you just get permanent Fortify effect which is 20% damage reduction. It is not tied to melee.


If this node would work as Fortify gem linked to all melee skills, it would be awesome :(
I feel like Slayer is the clear winner with Zerker on a close 2nd place and chieftain right behind there again. then we have Glad and champion being left as is for the most part and is gonna need another round of rework /tuning after this.

Thematically the Champion should be the Block ascendancy, it has a 1h and a shield in the picture in game.

Every melee ascendency get something, wonder if they are hiding juggerount for last or they wont touch it at all.

The regeneration from Inspirational went from a single tick for .5% health per stage to .1% max health per stage per second. It's more health overall, less health in the initial burst. Hard to call that a nerf.
Long time champion here, it's gonna suck really bad if our 4 point ascendancy will be weaker version of a support gem.

Was hoping they would make it something your skills are supported by fortify, which sounds OP but in context of many ascendancies isn't that high.

Even got a small nerf for melee damage :)
Slayer is looking a lot more attractive if you don't use impale or banners

Or at least add Rampart to your permanent fortify.
