[3.7] Rake's Tectonic Slam Equipment Guide - from League Start to Endgame

Rake, thanks so much for the detailed guide. All the info on equipment is greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your gem selections for Legion.

Here's my take on your tree for more damage with similar defenses:
http://poeurl.com/cqdO
+ DPS (6.99 vs 6.14 million)
+ faster (+80% vs +72% movement and 12.5 vs 11.3 APS)
- Hinekora over Tasalio, so we need more res on gear
- slightly less life (6,020 vs 6,059) and regen (655/s vs 720/s)
- lower crit (61% vs 74%) means fewer extra endurance charges
Hello Rake7 , i'm literaly new player play only from synthesis league.I found your build and want to try it.So the questions is :
If it possible with T5/T4 gear clear red maps (including kill boses)
It is viable in SSF.
and i see that in POB u use 3 skill points on staves nodes, so its should be like that?

Thanks for your attention

Not Rake but: seems at least T4 for red maps and possibly T3 for the highest tiers ,according to the gear info on page 1. I think if you're deep in red maps you'll have farmed enough currency to buy ~2ex worth of gear. Of course this *is* melee league so it may cost more but I don't think it should be unaffordable for the T4 gear.

The Stave nodes are meant to be like that yes - the 3rd node there adds an extra 10% chance to generate an Endurance Charge.

Personally, I'll not be pathing there as I don't feel it's worth 3 nodes for an extra 10% chance but that'll be a very late game decision, I'll probably be around character level 90 at that stage and will be better informed.
Timezone: GMT +10 (Australia). CASUAL player but I play whenever I can.

Alright, newbie question here!

Why take Tasalio over Ramako and Hinekora if those both give you more damage?

Is it for the survivability?

Yes. +100% fire res means we need 100% less fire resistance on equip also.
The damage is fine without Hinekora. However, if you find yourself with enough resistance on gear you can still swap out Tasalio for Hinekora for more dmg.
Hey Rake, awesome guide. Gonna league start with it tomorrow.

Any chance you could let me know in advance which of the new gems you're planning on trying as replacements for existing ones. I'll just level all of them in off weapons and use the ones that turn out to be good. Cheers mate.
should we use pulverise ? If yes, instead of what gem ...
Hello there !

I was wondering, do you think it would be wise to drop the 3 points invested in the 10% chance to get an Endu charge on crit in order to invest 4 points to grab the 'Disciple of the Unyielding' notable which grant a 5% Endu charge on kill ? (+ all bonuses from the 3 nodes on Endu)

there is some problem in using Whirling Blades instead of leap slam?

On-kill effects help while clearing, but not for bosses (if no adds). Bossing is when you'll most need the charges, so I think the on-crit effect is more reliable.
hey! planning use this build as a league starter.
got some questions
1) will we use Precision aura (new) ? 700 accuracy and 59% crit chance is awesome... and so we got hatred + precision. or hatred + purity + banner still better?
2) what is a new 6l? tect - multi - melee phys - aoe/conc - ele dmg - fortify?
3) will u add leveling tree till league starts?
4) is Oskarm still worth as t4-t2 gear?

Ty for answers and sorry for bad english :C
