An Update from Chris

I haven't read this whole thread, but I wanted to thank you, Chris and everyone else at GGG, for being so transparent and communicating what's going on behind the scenes. As several have mentioned, you do far more in this regard than a lot of devs and publishers. While there are aspects to the game that definitely need work (trade comes to mind), and Synthesis got a rocky start (though I do hope parts of it make it into core after some work), I think there are quite a few players who are very vocal and short sighted; I've been playing this since the pre-1.0 open beta, and you've always come through for us. There's only so much hostility that I can read through in this thread and the Q&A one, and I hope you're all taking care of your mental health because despite those voices, there are a lot of us that love this game and have for years. Mistakes happen, but you at GGG are wonderful at owning up to them and fixing them.
More hymns for Cassia when?
And most of grateful fanboys, especially that ones, who "like so much Syntesis" has sooooo low challenges counter.
Yeah, they love it, no doubt.

False emotions, false senses, pathetic.

Great News : Shitynthesis is not going CORE!!!
Chris, u and the rest of GGG rock, its great u take the time to post this and i understand the pressure completely.
So go get some rest and don't lets the trolls and ragers get to u!
League was awesome, especially after few patches. Why everyone are so mad about it?
Holy shit. Its a free game. A VIDEO GAME! FREE! Do you understand the intricate of a business? Especially a video game. It is fucking HARD! Shit happens. A lot of shit happens, and as one of thousands or millions of players for over 30 years playing games; a video game that is free goes along way, especially that is "triple A". For the creator to come out on his internet site, to talk about the status of his game he created, to help us understand what is in the future of Path of Exile. Now that says ALOT! Tell me one gaming company small or big, that puts his thoughts on his site about the status of his game.
Path of exile is just getting better. I agree to disagree with a lot of what everyone is saying (as well for chris), however I feel that the game is going in the right direction.
Keep up the work GGG Team. Looking forward to the melee 3.7 update/league!
This sentiment was summed up by a member of our design team who recently said "We don't want to take away the feeling of closing your eyes and Exalting an item, scared to see whether you ruined it or not."

YOLO!

Interesting to read the approach on what I would coin 'big business' issues:
Multi-platform support;
Rigid release schedules;
Incomplete releases;
Opening in new regions;
Marketing roadshows to be the 'next big thing';
Failure to acknowledge/address vocal community concerns.

This ain't the Grinding Gear Games that operated out of someone's garage ten years ago. All the best with your future endeavours.

And the other thigs is, we feel like beta testers of your leagues.

... we are. Leagues are a way to test mechanics to decide whether they should be added to the core game or not. That's how it has always been.
