A big thank you from my side for your post and transparency with our community.
I think you all from GGG are doing a crazy ton of work and you are trying to do everything to the fullest. I think it is vital, that you look out for your work/life balances. I'm patiently waiting for 3.7 and 4.0. Keep up the good work and keep a cool head :) |

Thank you Chris!
Most important thing is listening your players!
This kind of detailed infomation to the players, strong leadership, a focus on the wellbeing of your staff and a clear vision to continue to lead the ARPG space is why I continue to love & support GGG and PoE.
Great post Chris! | |
Thanks for the Update, as a developer myself i can really understand bugfixes aren't as easy as some people believe they are.
The game is getting bigger and bigger, yet you guys come up with new stuff four(!!) times a year! And we love that. But here's an idea for you, maybe some people like it: How about taking more time, cutting it from four new leagues a year to three, opening up one slot for a "rerun" of an old league? I honestly didn't think this through, i don't know how much work this would cause, it's just an idea. Make a poll in the forums, where players can vote their favourite league and then rerun this? |

To be honest - todays communities are much more demanding as just 10 years ago - the same is valid for the overall move in society. Spending 1 Dollar per Month and requesting and demanding the best in every way possible wont yield the expected results ever. People get angry, threaten others "that they leave if xyz is not fulfilled" but never ever take a deep breath and question themselves. Seems like a global movement and is sad in every way.
I was totally hyped for Synthesis and got really disappointed - well, not everything turns out like I expect it and thats it. Stopped playing Synth but will sure be back for the next league. As someone who tends to work 12 hours a day (sometimes 16 to 20 hours) I really, REALLY appreciate the way you treat your employees Chris ! If someone WANTS to work that much - ok (to some extent) but I find it pleasing that you do not demand it. That and your overall development as a company with a (atleast for me) unique and well rounded (sometimes more, sometimes less ;) ) product will have my support for a very long time. So keep up the good work - I enjoyed every minute I played this game since closed beta and did and will always support you. Sometimes more, sometimes less - like the balancing of game mechanics ;) |

I love you Chris

Thank you so much for your awesome work GGG! I feel like being in a little gaming family by playing PoE. I appreciate your words Chris and am especially grateful that you take care about your staff, so we can all enjoy your work for many more years.

Big thanks to Chris and the team for coming forward and giving us the update. Although I have pretty much quit this league really early, I'll be coming back for flashback!
There is a reason I have financially supported GGG through leagues even when I haven't been playing, and this is it. They are a great company in terms of ethics and morality. Have a +1 from me Chris, and all the Dev/Community team too!
Basically proves what many were fearing, when the team started working on consoles you could feel the game taking a huge hit(regardless if the core team wasn't pulled in for the console ports). The majority of betrayal league my account was bugged and I couldn't do the league mechanics, after many messages to support nothing was done and it wasn't fixed the entire 3 months(this just proved to me you are too focused on content over quality). You guys are shooting yourselves in the foot by bringing out content too often that has far too many bugs(it scares me to think of the the amount of bugs that is being built upon in the source code due to pushing out content too often). Let's not forget about the random crashes for many and the poor party performances with a lot of builds, the game just isn't improving in a good way.
I for one prefer quality over quantity and due to having short time spans for planning/execution the quality just isn't there for me anymore. There is a reason why D2 is still being played. Content is easier than ever, difficulty feels stale really quickly when it's behind the same grind over and over. As someone that has been here since day one I appreciate all the work and accomplishments of GGG but I have moved on(and most of my friends) for now, the game just doesn't focus on what made it great. I feel you have lost the original direction of the game due to its success and forgot the target audience and charm that made it what it was. Now I feel it's a game many are sitting on because there is just no alternatives. Last edited by dupie on Nov 15, 2019, 11:33:11 PM
